I will sell when it hit 4.50. With the profit I will buy a new Densen Amplifier.....
Kepland will announce full 2009 results end of Jan. Wonder if we are in for surprise. Hopefully if good results can get some dividend and share price will push towards $4. I will still keep until reaches $6.50, hopefully by 2012
i have the same faith with u too..vested this at 2...

Bought at $1 and its rights at $1.09. Dump the stocks today, to reinvest in other counters. It might still go up, but with the dilution from the rights, its NAV per share is now much lower than the current stock price and annual dividend probably less than 2% of current price. That trigger me to divest today.
Might not be a wise move, but only time will tell.
$4.00 soon.
Why this counter up so strong recently. Very scary. My target $6.50
You lose out trying to overtrade and your profit becomes less

Ride on the trend until it shows otherwise

Timing is definitely important - which then relate to buy and hold strategy for how long.
Interestingly, through personal experience, you may not be the one who would make the most profits even you buy a stock at its rock bottom price - cos' you will probably sell it when you see it is 100% and those who come in later than you may make 200%. Buying at bottom will guarantee you a profit if the stock is on profitable growth path.
Index stocks changed over the years. So it is not accurate to look at index alone. A stock price may remain the same for the last ten years but there are corporate actions such as bonus issues, special dividends, capital reductions, rights and warrants issues, asset injections, splitting etc that affect the price.
Not sure if the hold/buy strategy still work. I used to be a believer in this method but no longer so. Have you read in a recent ST article showing STI 10 years return? I think it's something like 2600 back in 1999/2000, and now 2850 in 2009, that's about 10% over 10 years ie 1% per year. The morale is that it's not the longer u hold, the higher the return. The timing is very very important. I have bought some stocks early 2009, and have cashed out recently, gaining around 50%. Maybe the stock will go higher but I think the upside may be limited. Am I greedy for another 10% gain or risk the mkt going for a 10% correction? I have made my choice.
4 years starting now, you may be buying at the peak. Your choice.
What do you think the price will be like in 4 years time.
And why do you think should hold for 4 years

Hold this for next 4 years and collect future dividends along the way
Thanks. It is about half way. Have a great new year to all.
They usually pay it once a year after their AGM in April or May of each year, so next payout is around May 2010

Anyone have news on Divident announcement?
How do you know BBs are going to buy in this one. I thought it should already be in their portfolio since kepland is in the ms mid cap index.
