Actually this one to me is a super penny stock. In recession time to my view, the risk of investing in them is great.
To invest in them, to my view is just like a gamble.
Thumb up to those that keep accumulating. They are the brave one.
China's daily power generation topped 9.76 billion kWh in the first ten days of June, the highest so far this year, the China National Power Dispatching and Communication Center said Tuesday.
Although the figure was down 0.17 percent over the same period last year, the decline was less than the previous month. Power generation dropped 3.5 percent in May over the same period last year.
Market analysts attributed the increase of the figure mainly to a recovery in the country's heavy industry -- including cement, steel and iron, and coal.
"Fast development and surging outputs of heavy industries in May further indicated a recovery of the country's economy, and the momentum continues in June," said Yang Fan, an analyst with the CITIC Securities.
Zhu Baoliang, an economist with State Information Center, said the country's heavy industries were expected to use more power in the following months as the country's economic stimulus began to take effect.
Power generation, a key indicator of a country's economic health, began to decline from late 2008, indicating a slowdown in the economy. In November, power generation dropped 9.6 percent year-on-year, the biggest fall in a decade.

wow newtothis, $0.50, u are so confident huh.
Emm but may happen lah.
This stock is for future. Buy a few thousand lots and hold it for 1-2 years :) then u can see the returns.
Remember Future is the key. Might be over $0.50 by then :)
Agreed, Abt's directors are smart and have good biz acumen. Apart from doing all the correct deeds in biz, they also seize the chance to acquire coal mines at an opportune time, swap shares with a listed HK co. which will benefit shareholders. This offers the company to stand in good stead because if the other company makes profit, Abt will also benefit either thro dividends and/cap appreciation. If energy prices spike then coal prices will also move up. Nevertheless all investments have their inherent risks. But we can say Abt is moving in the right direction compared to many other companies which do not know where to go and what to do in the face of the global crisis that many economists are confident have now shown some signs of recovery.
I believe those vested will prosper in quick time.
There are both advantages and disadvantages in any shares.
But the CEO in abterra is smart. I can say very smart. The company is heading towards right direction. The company was really a trading company dealing with resources that really didnt have any major mine assets until recently.
1) The company recently acquired mines and assets as they know that there is no better time than to do it now.
2) Resources are limited. China resources/energy comsumption in china are set to rise in the 3rd quarter which will drove demand and price up. Remember China promises 8% GDP. China will require strong growth in 3rd and 4th quarter thru internal demand to meet that 8% growth.
I think we buy shares because its prices are relatively low and has great potential to rise in the future. I have buy in and will buy in more these few days. Its good time to accumulate this lot :) Sorry too busy to write a report on this share. But What AK_Francis is giving us a brief description.infomation of what everyone knows. Once i have the time i will write a comprehensive report. Cheers
Anyway this stock has great potential ..... :) Good luck for those who vested. You are about to change your life :P
Ab biz - Coke & coal 98.5% , others remaining portion. A CPFIS listed coy. NAV end Jun, 4 cts. PE. NA, MCp 330.5m. Yr H 9cts L 1.5cts.
Since 06, keeping cash, no div given. FY 08 NLAT 16.7m.
Its 1Q earnings dipped 17% , NPAT, 1.524m, due to higher admin and financial expenses. Co expects operating conditions for d yr ahead, like most of d listed coy, to remain challenging due to global credit condition.
Beside involement with LeROI as mentioned by Sifu below post, it acquired 45% stake on Jiao Zhong Coal Mine n invested as well on d other mine also located in Shanxi.
Jiao Zhong being revalued lately that its initial coal reserve of 10.2m tons been up to 61.4m tons.
Comparing with its rival, Jade, a Catalist, Ab is a bit better than his rival. Both px neck to neck liao.
Coal mining in PRC is a very volatile industry, just looking at d underground tunnel accidents reported oftenly. A major incident may cripple d coy loh. Try other safe heaven S stock may be better option liao.
Above for sharing, no calling.

umping money in now is not advisable, since it is in the news that there are signs of economoc recovery.
Thus since there will be plenty of 'selling on the good news', the market is probably in for a period of down,
The funds by now would have taken a lot of profit at the recent highs, and now wait for good low prices to get in again...
Abterra is a typical penny stock. Emm at this recession period, not sure if its worthwhile to pump money on it. Abit worry ganna stuck.
Anyway this baby got some potential as mention by u.
Refer to below article that i feel is quite positive for it.
