ocbc issues a call to buy genting today, target 76 cents! can buy some genting to keep but just be extra careful if you are playing for short term because of higher construction cost and sti at the high side.genting need some more fuel to move upside, like sti new index stock or take part in new casino operation in other part of asia...buy genting for 2010...looking to buy more in the coming month if price is right...

Georgeleow, it means that 30.5% of the shareholders who subscribe is willing to pay 60cts for one extra right or one share, so those who is waiting for below 60 cts have to tankookoo.

RESULTS OF THE RIGHTS ISSUE Level of Subscription Further to the announcements made earlier by Genting International Public Limited Company (the ?Company?) in relation to the Rights Issue, the Board of Directors of the Company (the ?Directors?) is pleased to announce that as at the close of the Rights Issue on 5 September 2007 (the ?Closing Date?), valid acceptances and excess applications for a total of 4,459,888,519 Rights Shares were received. This represents a subscription of approximately 123.5% of the Rights Issue, as detailed below:

New right share in your CDP already. No hurry to sell for just a tiny profit. Genting will worth more in the coming month if take part in Japan, korea, thailand casino development....remember star cruise, i sold all my share when the right share listed, but within a week, the share double the price due to it take part in macus casino, so no rush, it will be star cruise soon or later. Expected genting will trade around 60-75 cents but will start the engine when STI 30 index news realease....keep genting for 2010
cant see any reason why genting shares will run up, esp since people will be able to sell their shares today... 99% chance it will drop.
unfortunately, im vested at 65cents. in for the long haul but dun like to see shares at below my buy in price :-(
