A man at his prime will not know an aged man's sorrow...learn what is weakness before harness it as your strength.
I got away with china ava oil (a week before it bomb) and ferrochina about 1 month before hand..
The market will send warning sign, rumors and market talks.. If u see this kind of sign coming sell the counters.. (Took me a few years to gain this type of discipline) Better to be safe than sorry metality.. Look back at the news and forum on the bomb S-chips like China Ava oil, China beauty and some other counter.. U will find traces of warning signs before the downfall.. (although it do not apply to all S-chip, some just bomb without warning as they are not market darling)
Like china ava oil have market rumor circulating that they have alot of deriative loss, and selling stake Temasek at 10% discount when market is good... (signs of warning do appear)..

We cannot trust the Balance Sheet of S-Chips. They cook it, they modify it.
Reputation and Management Team is the only thing that we should look into before investing.
It's afterall better to invest in a business that has proven itself through it's past economic performance (at least 10 years of consistent performance). It is already not easy to find outstanding companies among the blue chips, what's more penny chips. However, if a penny chip has proven itself consistently highly profitable over a long period of time (more than 10 years), it may not hurt the investor to have a closer look into such smaller cap companies as there may be hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Many excellent businesses start small. Though it is safer to invest in established large cap counters, it may not mean small cap counters are not worth any consideration. It is just that the investor should be even more stringent when selecting penny stocks to invest in since such businesses may not have enough past track record to prove itself.
<It is a cruel reality when come to investing. If one selects the right companies to invest, time will reward the patient investor heavily by the excellent economics of the business. If one selects the wrong companies to invest, time will punish the investor by the lousy economics of the business.>
Not bcos greedy.I did my hmwk ok...
Bought Unifiber only after doing some study of their company b4 I went in last yr. I felt the Co. are doing something that is good to the environment by preserving the nature. Of course I still hope that it'll one day become blue so that my prediction will become true. I still feel that they have the potential to become one of the pioneer in this industry. If anyone is still holding this counter, do give your opinion...

I like penny stock as it help to boost the return of overall ret in my portofolio.. I set more stringent condition to invest in them for the long term
Must be profitable. Market Price Below it NTA. Strong Cash asset. Background Check on the Board of Directors (Must hav well known businessman) and some sectorial benchmarking...
But i am not to concern about liquidity as i am a long term investor (5years)

yeah..depend how you play it, spread ur $$ on a few pennies to diversify risk. eg. u vested in 4 penny stocks. suay suay 2 penny stock die. (thats very suay liao) or 2 totally dun move at all. But the other 2 penny stock move. dun say alot la, say each 300% nia, u are more than covering ur loses on those 2 suay penny stock liao den profited too.
Some penny stock u would find in good times. Only now u got chance to buy good penny stocks.. If u ask me, use 10k to invest in 1 blue, i rather use it to play 4 penny stocks.

Where did the blues come from???..fr the earth? fr the sky?...i believe once upon a time they were penny also.....did u buy venture at 0.30C...i did...it was then a penny..
but when ppl got caught in pennies is not becos they are pennies..
it is becos ppl are irrationally greedy..they are greedy and hope for max profit and stay till they forgot to leave...blinded by greed.
if u want to find fault,,,it is found in the invester..not really in the stock..
was not citi, JP Morgan, AIG...consider blues chips...they take down alot of ppl with them.
When S-Chip start to move, it is time to sell. Investors, punters, traders and gamblers should note companies may use this opportune moment to raise capital. It is already happening globally. Do trade with caution.
<....My mentality now is, to stick to blue chips. Much safer.> Wise move.
