Lim said the cost has increased because the company has added and changed some specification. Lim also quelled speculation that Genting is eyeing an ultimate investment in Macau through the recent purchase of a 3.2% stake in MGM Mirage and $100 million of its bonds. "We are treating it as an investment at the moment, to maximize returns on cash rather than keeping it in deposits. The plan is no more than that," he said, according to the report.
