Yes, no doubt we are toast for sure...
My IC is still pink in colour. Where do you think i support, at least hope we give them a hard fight for their medal. Not like Hong Kong..go down fast.
Go Singapore..Make them sweat and breath hard for their medal.,,and not a simple walkover.
Whatever.
All set to watch this Historical Moment at 7.30pm
Majullah Singapura!
: )
Table tennis is a lousy game, me remember LKY make fun of it by saying less ppl like to see table tennis because from far you cannot see the ball but 2 ppl jumping in the court, unlike football.
BTW...do you need fitness for this games table tennis, shooting and archery, but skill is unquestionable, otherwise how come China is so good.(table tennis)
Actually..and purely...and turthly...
It is China Versus China!!!
What a shame?you cannot even find an original Singapore in the team.
Singapore can even win World cup if we call all Brazilian player become Siongaporean.
Singapore can win???Did you see China play? If they can win , it is luck? I am not looking down on my country, but am realistic. But at least we got a chance, but slim chance, Let hope China is down in luck and make big mistake, not likely.
Big friend vs Small friendhahaha !
730pm tonight. Finals.
May Singapore win the GOLD !!
Because spore is a developed nation,we will tend to go into cultural, arts and sports.
Thus over the next decade or so,do not be surprised to see more sporting heroes.
I think brother Howe Liang should not be forgotten easily for the glory he silently has brought to the country in the last 5 decades or so...
Imagine if he didn't get the medal...
then there's nil honour to speak about for 5 decades!...
How about devising a royalty-type special honour for him (in $$$ terms, of course)?...
It's a pity brother Tan Howe Liang has just 'lost' the 48-year record...
He should be specially honoured for keeping Singapore proud for 48 long years...
As a 21-year old girl takes over his 'responsibility'...
elfinchilde,
i do agree with u...
it has been a long 48 years...hope it's the begining of more good years of sports for singapore...
let's aim for the GOLD!!!

This is just d beginning of a sporting nation in building on, not hang on....the wait is long, 48 years. Now the wait is just oni another 4 years away. This times new players that play very important part (role) today will be tomorrow leader..Ya, so i believe we get on in life just like we use too, so is to them..let the sporting nation work itself into it. celebrate while it last.

Just saw the table tennis win by Spore
I saw the protest by the last Spore player at a crowd memebr who heckles at her.
Even the Korean player who beat Li Jia Wei was sent off with the red card at the last game for hecklling
Thats very very bad sportmanship by the Korean supporter and player.
They have brought shame to their country
LOL... very funny ..

self-deceiving again.. sometimes, learn to accept the true statment..
I admired Miss Quah the swimmer after all ... :)
