Is this one of d many, many reason WHY ?? Pak Lah must be bot down by him, by hook and by crook. is it Becos of corruption..Err...soon or later reach him ?.
http://www.malaysiakini.com/letters/109210 Dr No (Jul 24, 09)
Below is what Pak Lah had said about the MACC at the time it was set up:
He said the MACC has additional powers to allow it to investigate certain forms of corruption hitherto out of its jurisdiction. And who is the PM now? I believe that Pak Lah is unlike his predecessor, it is not in his nature to do something to leave behind a legacy or legacies.
The MACC's workforce will be beefed up, with a staff strength of approximately 5,000, including investigating officers. Abdullah said various checks and balance mechanisms to provide the MACC with external oversight were established through panels and committees.
They are the Anti-Corruption Advisory Board, Special Committee on Corruption, Complaints Committee, Operation Review Panel and the Corruption Consultation and Prevention Panel with distinguished members such as a former Chief Justice, academicians, a Suhakam commissioner, lawyers, businessmen, media practitioners and a former Attorney General.
The Special Committee on Corruption, for example, comprises three Barisan Nasional MPs, three from Pakatan Rakyat and a Senator from Sabah.
"I believe that you are more than well-equipped to contribute to ensuring that corruption is fought more effectively from now on. I would thus urge you to use the powers extended to you to uphold truth and justice and to help weed out corruption wherever it may lurk," he told the MACC.
The prime minister said the government did not want the creation of the MACC to be seen as merely a re-branding of the ACA without any concrete changes to its structure and effectiveness.
The government, he said, was aware of the perception that the ACA was not independent, a "toothless tiger", selective in prosecution, slow in taking action and unprofessional in investigating.
This was why the government decided to review the structure, approaches and jurisdiction of the ACA and take steps to overcome the negative issues, and make the MACC a highly-respected body, he said.
He said the changes were aimed at increasing the integrity and capability of the body to combat corruption more effectively, efficiently, pro-actively and with transparency. The Anti-Corruption Act 1997 has been replaced with the more comprehensive Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2008.
Abdullah said while the government had taken these steps, much of the MACC's success or failure would be down to the officers' conduct in carrying out their duties.
"It is thus my utmost hope that each and every officer of the MACC regardless of position or rank, conducts his duties to the highest standards of professionalism - dedication, impartiality and fairness must necessarily be part and parcel of your job as anti-corruption officers," he said.

teeth53 thot: Question isit really corruption or something else ?. Is that what voters wanted ?.
Written into history book. Pak Lah can be judged as weak PM and will judged Mahathir as a Ex-Premier who strong rule M'sia for 22 years, personnally spearhead and engineered Pak lah down fall.

Recalling..Just wondering out loud, calling for corruption as (No-1 enemy) wasted 22 years, plus six for bringing his, his former chossen successor ex-M'sia Premier out of M'sia highest office.

Current sentiment on the ground is that the people want a strong Pakatn coalition to replace BN as the government of the country.
(teeth53 thot so: Dr Mahati in bringing down his hand pick successor by hook and or by CROOK, handled four states to PKR, DAP and to PAS leaders and Najib took over of Perak state.
UMMO knew that and wanted to keenly and ASAP to start this Unity talk. UMMO wanted badly to start unity talk w/o pre-condition. Another word.......
To split PAS, try offering d M'sia Deputy PM post as well if Yassin do not mind...Ya. To sweeten the deal, give a few more cabinet posts as well..Voters may not even vote for PAS for been feel betray -deceitful for voter to trust PAS, vote may end up with PKR and with DAP). another word
Even only with PKR and DAP, Pakatan Rakyat will march to victory in the next general election. The loser will of course be PAS and not Umno, BN, PKR or DAP. To PAS leaders, the advice is - you need a lot of wisdom to survive in politics. As pointed out by PAS’ spiritual leader.

Unity gov't: PAS will be the ultimate loser |
Dr Mana | Jun 19 http://www.malaysiakini.com/letters/106834 |
The recent furore on the unity government supposedly mooted by some quarters in PAS is worth contemplating. Apparently, the current sentiment on the ground is that the people want a strong Pakatn coalition to replace BN as the government of the country.
(teeth53 thot so: Dr Mahati in bringing down his hand pick successor by hook and or by CROOK, handled four states to PKR, DAP and to PAS leaders. UMMO knew that and wanted to keenly and ASAP to start this Unity talk. UMMO wanted badly to start unity talk w/o pre-condition, trying offering d M'sia Deputy PM post as well if Yassin do not mind...Ya. Voters may not vote for PAS)
PAS, should be aware that a substantial number of non-supporters of the party voted for their candidates in the past elections, irrespective of race or religion, did not mind voting for opposition candidates in the last general election and in the few by-elections held after that. The sentiment has become crystal clear that the people, somehow or rather, are not happy with the BN government for reasons best known to the BN leaders themselves. This does not mean that PAS can flex its muscles and say with arrogance to the people that ‘the electorate has now accepted PAS’. Many who voted for PAS candidates just because they did not want BN, at least for now.
This trend may change if the political and economical situations favours BN. Thus, for PAS to talk about a unity government at this time will only invite the wrath of those who voted for their candidates. And for this hasty stand by only one or two of its leaders, PAS will have to pay heavily in future elections is weighted heavly in flavour of UMMO.
The people may abandon PAS out of revulsion. Alas, it is the lack of wisdom on the part of these PAS leaders that could bring about to the party’s rejection by the electorate. As pointed out by PAS’ spiritual leader, the ultimate consequence that Pas will be doomed if they go for it and this will be the end of PAS as a formidable political entity. Pas will be neutralised then and it may even been wiped out from the political landscape of the country.
Even only with PKR and DAP, Pakatan Rakyat will march to victory in the next general election. The loser will of course be PAS and not Umno, BN, PKR or DAP. To PAS leaders, the advice is - you need a lot of wisdom to survive in politics.

Najib: Umno to contest Manek Urai |
He who are trying to have him with a view to use him for further their own very interest is making a terrible mistake, after mistake, when time come to pay, one has to pay, a very dear price.
With Mahathirism ruled 28 years implanted over the land elected (extremely difficult to win over fence sitters) and land none-elected by the people's (even more remote-ly extreme)
That is not the case to be, well over the past 28 years of golden era for M'sia, especially it intensified it divide and rule for the past four-five years till today..year 2009.
He who conquered, divide and rule now seeing his once powerful Ummo empire been divided and rule as well.. Ummo...Alas Pak Lah golden election which almost capture all state and almost the state of Kelatan is demolish by greed and short slighteness of one and only one (Dr Mahathir, the man behind the crooked bridge)...egg on..added on by others who is equally of the same kind....

Anyway, i am very sure he been the crooked bridge man (the psuedo bumi) will surely terkan S'pore again. Otherwise he is not call old mamak, will he terkan Najib ?., like he terkan abdullah badawi and (before Abdullah Dadawi) is Anwar and give him five states to rule.
Malaysia policies goes-a-flip-a flop...over many years from 1965. They signed the POA, and then reneged it. The points in the POA must be carried out first before a new POA can be signed pertaining to newer projects...
POA stands for Point Of Arguements - on why they have been arguing since 1965 and will continue to argue till eternity with the crooked man around.

Mr Najib also called for more exchanges between the two countries, be it over a game of golf or a plate of nasi kandar, a traditional Indian—Malay meal of rice dishes.
Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has said the first official visit by his Malaysian counterpart, Najib Razak, has further enhanced bilateral ties. "It is important that the next generation of Malaysians and Singaporeans carry on and strengthen the spirit of kinship, cooperation and goodwill that we have achieved."
Singapore and Malaysia are each other’s top trading partners. More than S$110 billion of bilateral trade was recorded in 2008. And Singaporeans made over 11 million visits to Malaysia last year.
I read this poem before. Must have been many years ago.
Anyway PM will be walking under the shadow of Dr M because there is always the phobia of being criticized again if he didn't. You see lah, I did not appoint you as my successor because I was right that you were so lousy. Better listen to me, man or else you are confirming that you are worse than I thought!! Jokes...

The X-factor in government
ANALYSIS By JOCELINE TAN
Dr Mahathir’s 22 years in power, Najib has been in politics 33 years, Mahathirism was about policies like Look East, Vision 2020...(11 years more to go and 11 years for Anwar new politcal empire in waiting...)Ummo bold decision-making, and the public and private sectors working to achieve economic growth has created .” He caused a stir when he insisted that Umno should contest the Penanti by-election, his view that a couple of politicians were not fit to be in the Cabinet was the talk of the town.
With a staggering 18 million visitors have been to his blog which he started only last May. Malaysia is never short on political news. He is one and only one can claimed credit for bringing politcal news to the forefront M'sia headlines, unlike S'pore-(does S'pore need that kind of politiking ? and divide the state nation into half. it will be ruin by a few, destruction all round with million of jobless).
He does not envisage a formal role and has said he is not interested in becoming Senior Minister or Minister Mentor as in the case of Singapore. He is shrewd enough to know that Malaysian politics is much more real and fluid (Ahh..that is what Mahathir mean...The X-factor in M'sia govt never miss is politiking) than in Singapore and that it would not be accepted here (M'sia), has resulted in...
A new empire is awaiting...and been form in a form of PK with 10-15 years from now. M'sia will be run by younger generation of ministry, Chief is Nurul Izzah, 28 who will turn 38 -43 old, ripe for M'sia PM job, arm with new policies, fresh, train none corrupted and prowl on and erasing poverty progressively, unlike Ummo is seen unable to have a clean break from past with Mahathirism Najib’s boon is that a large number of his people and staff around him are partial to Dr Mahathir. Unlike Abdullah..So it all been shown it rule by proxies and wanted badly all the king men is back...The price Mahathirsim has to pay for is...a new empire is born.
With Mahathirism ruled 28 years implanted over the land elected (extremely difficult to win over fence sitters) and land none-elected by the people's (even more remote-ly extreme)
He who conquered, divide and rule now seeing his once powerful Ummo empire been divided and rule as well..that is not the case to be, well over the past 28 years of golden era for M'sia, especially it intensified it divide and rule for the past four-five years till today..year 2009. He can no longer, can afford to jap at Najib at this movement yet (Just testing water) and cannot bring him down just like Pak lah, that will shorten Ummo rule and end quicker then expected.
Written into history book. Pak Lah can be judged as weak PM and will judged Mahathir as a Ex-Premier who strong rule M'sia for 22 years, personnally spearhead and engineered Pak lah down fall.

http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/malaysia/25129-no-clear-leader-apart-from-anwar
No clear leader apart from Anwar
teeth53 tot...10-15 years from now. M'sia will be run by younger generation of ministry, Chief is Nurul Izzah, 28 will turn 38 -43 old, ripe for M'sia PM job
Anwar's Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is the most closely watched as it holds the disparate coalition together. Yet, only Anwar and his wife Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Ismail, the party president, are acknowledged leaders.
teeth53 tot: Anwar will then guide, prepare his political young inexperience daugther to become a heavy weight politician that she is comfort with...writting into histroy bt been becoming the first woman premier in Malaysia. If it's the will of the people's Up and coming PKR leaders include Nurul Izzah, 28, a first-time MP and Anwar's daughter, and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, 27, a British-educated lawyer. Ummo is weakening as PAS strengthen, so is PKR. Once PAS, will grow to be too powerful and very uncomfort for non- Muslims in years to come...they will all flock to PKR/DAP combination
At the top of the list in the DAP is Lim Guan Eng, 48, its secretary-general. He is Chief Minister of Penang, and effectively runs the party, although his father Lim Kit Siang is still very much in action. A leading young DAP member is Tony Pua, 37. An Oxford-educated former businessman, he was wooed by the DAP to build up its ranks of new leaders.
Finally, PAS also has at least three viable names...
Malaysia will see three biggest politcal parties in action..Ummo,. PAS and PKR with DAP backing.
Ummo is weakening as PAS strengthen, so is PKR. Once PAS, will grow to be too powerful and uncomfort for non- Muslims in years to come...they will all flock to PKR/DAP combination. So PKR/DAP has to erase corruption basically from as early stage as now and start to implement a working model to gov d state they rule as...not lord over. Anwar will then guide and prepare his political young inexperience daugther tocome a heavy weight politician that she is comfort with...maybe become the first woman premier in Malaysia..it's the will to win over the people's
Ummo is seen unable to have a clean break from past with Mahathirism japping at Najib (Mahathir has personnel spearheaded Ummo members into believing in him like cult...dump Abdulla as his chosen successor) with Dr Mahati in inside inner circle creating confusion and faction and divided Muslims, the Ummo parent and it son (Ummo youth), the state in West Malaysia.
