Would it be better if spore cut the petrol tax of 40+ cts by the the amount that lowest grade which is above $2 ? So now should cut thetax by 15 c.  If it ever reaches $2.40, no petrol tax. Ha! ha!

Indeed a good suggestion from AK. Singapore should implement full tank policy, this will return a favour to JB and calm unhappiness to JBeans. It will certainly minmise subsidised fuel outflows from JB. Well done, AK.

Simply, any rule never goes thro' brain, sure won't work one. Now, see, this cannot that cannot, worst, local people, esp those near boarders, not happy??? Now, owing to PB good settling within both countries, Spore may help to curb the problem over the causeway by implementing full tank instead of 3qtr tank policy. Sure works one. Indirectly means that even spore car travel to and flo 50Km radii will not consume 1qtr of petrol tank leow loh.

Shifting goal post alittle on technicality and admin problem to next following Monday June 9 ,2008. On ban fuel sales to S'pore car in Johor.

Johoreans were not worried about a drop in the numbers as they are then just cheaper fuel. ??? is alot of cars has much more to go and much more to pack and w/o them, with one less fuel, it is one less incentive to go in, sales will be down, this coming year end will tell as oil fuel is kept high (it will eat into consumer confident via less in consumers spending power), rental & payment will be delay, staffs salary is down, bills will creep up, plus alot of retailers shop with written contract agreement sign, will be highly badly hit within the zone cover and esp in JB.

FUEL BAN: JB kiosks loss of business (look like it go to lose alot , much more then they wanted). Expect at least half to 2/3 business down within the arc on food, oil entertianment, accessories, retails, wholesales, even their factory may be effected or shift out and Senai airport business down. lomg term effect may be felt immediately on Iskanda Development, sitting next to Gelang Patah

Forming an arc. From North Pontian kechil to North Kg senenak and Bt batu to Kangkar Dohol, beyond Kota Tinggi and to Kg Sedili Kechil and beyond the shore of Desaru.

Just FYI:

A quick follow up....Nine ex-Keadilian leaders is keen to join Umno from PKR led by former deputy Malaysia premier Anwar, this move is a further blow to Anwar Ibrahin who has been crowing about he can draw 30 Members of parliament from Umno led BN into opposition camp.

Most are former leaders of PKR's youth wing. including Datuk anwar's former private secrectary of datuk Anwar,. Mr Annuar Shaari. it's a priced catch for a weakened Umno and for its Umno leader. Datuk Seri Abdullah.

Meanwhile Mr Ezam Mohd Nor mentioned is base on his decision on his convictions, mentioning he like the reform plans of PM Abdullah, said the 41 years old Mr Ezam.

Meanwhile another Umno's (Senior VP) Supreme Council member. Tan Seri Muhyiddin Yassin is fast building a reputation as a party maverick, threw a spanner in the works.

Be careful where you pump petrol.... some of this "family" kiosk sell diluted petrol. Your car engine can spoil.

H2O does not mix with petrol. They may give you used cooking oil (those after frying many times) mixed with petrol.

didn't hear complaint since those family owned petrol kiosk exist, as the owner will kena by the local user first. but won't be surprised if they mixed with a bit kerosine. of course, if you are using a high performance or brand new car, don't use the suspected fuel leow.

ha ha, during the last Tsunami rescue mission, we were warned by TNI that do not use the black market fuel??

What if the petrol is part petrol, part H2O? How?

Well... there will develop a black market to overcome the fuel ban. IT is easy to have a black market in places like Johore Bahru. It is difficult to implement the law faithfully there where the Police is less than clean. A couple of dollars and you would get the discounted fuel in the black market. Won't be surprised  legitimate businesses might also "brunja" the law enforcers to close one eye while filling up foreign cars.
