Window dressing

I also have a question on this topic.  Could someone please kindly enlighten me --

I can understand how window dressing may help increase share price,  
    but how does increasing share price help window dressing?

 

When does window dressing takes place during qtr end? Any idea when they will stop doing so? Will they do it up to friday?
