Just making a guess on the "one of the richest man in Spore" - Is his surname Mr Quek? If not, then there are great similarities between the two persons. Cheers!

 

It meaning is save for a raining day, not save and save, save to be safe enough to invest (buy oni when good stocks in down to a reasonable buy). Prof is just a name of highest stand given to one with achive in producing some leading work on orginality of different kind. So of cause it name is for different ppl, not for nomal ppl. it a recognition.

One of the richest man in Spore dealing in property does not give angpows of money but angpows containing advices in Chinese proverbs or idioms or phrases how to get rich to his workers during Chinese New Year.

 

Rich pple are found in ALL WALKS of life ..... not nec from stock market only........ !!!! There are some SUPER RICH pple who like to remain low key... rather than SHOWING-OFF their wealth.... and if you are lucky enough to meet them.... learn as much as you can from them - provided they're willing to share of course......

That applies to the real pros in the market...... if you happen to have a chance to meet any of them... even if it costs me a few hundred bucks or thousands of dollars.... I'm willing to part my $$$ to learn something from them.... of course the alternative is to buy good books (NOT by 'Professors") but rather by successful traders who have made it......

If you know where to find.... these are available.......

 

How do we define RICH people?

Or how do we measure sucess in share market investment?

 

True. It is better to read articles/books by people who actually have made money rather than a lot of theories only. If ex-remeiser King Peter Lim and investment guru Tommy Goh can wrtie something on stock investment, it would be interesting to read.

Professors who spent half their lives attaining PHD and the other half writing papers in universities are normally "queer" characters.

I was told the acronym PHD also stands for Permanent Head Damage.

rich ppl practices what they know..professors onli preach n dun do anyting..in my own opinion..haha..

 

what I would really like to read is get rich rules by really RICH people.. instead of a professor.

Hope there R ppl reading ST paper (Sunday Times) today on Getting rich slowly: 10 tomes- tested rules by Burton Malkiel (Pro of Economics at Princeton University. It is food for thought.

 

Accept uncertainty and one will feel better to deal with it. It is an art skill that after all, to be alive means to deal wtih this uncertain world we live in.

Gut feeling oni. UBS is going to push up it prices again as DOW give another day of all green in their signal, Banyan oni good for today, so is the rest of sgx stocks. 

 

Major gauges surge, tripping trading circuit breakers, after Bernanke speech eases inflation jitters; Dow finishes above 11,000. , so how is this man is going to speak as they oso worry their own ppl may back lash him if he any how speak, rite.

 

Every one knew it is good news for today, so big boys (UBS) did a very good flavour to very body by pushing up the price and oso to tell every one. this stock can buy one, so every body buy till $0.98 cts on vol of 26,580million shares. jus wish every one here vested don get stuck when big boys let go. When everyone don know except oni big boys knew.

 

Banyan Tree performent as good as Thai Brew, down to $0.85 cents or 12.37% from it IPO offer at $0.97cts, wait till honey moon is over before considering to long, like any other ipo offer, cheap can become cheaper. Anyway banyan ipo is not that cheap. Co-ok, Natsteel-ok, ppl not ok, ppl suffer liao.

 

Well Monday,. SGX just manage to tip over green line, bottom fishing is just right, still correction is not over yet with FED chief is more forceful in his saying.
