The geast of the report is that Mad is still in town. If no sight of him in the jungles then he must be Undle One Roof. Under whose roof, sympathetic friends or his followers. Are they rich?? Good question!!!
Remember, during the intense search and catch process conducted by security forces, the SAF even the citizens, one gentleman offering $8888 for any person to tell where he is and make him under arrest. For that amount definitely can't make someone to betray a friend lah.
Instead of keeping on worries about this burger and conducting all sorts of investigation, how about raising the award amount??? There is a wise say in Chinese, "Money can make ghost pushing the grinder". Is it one of the 36 strokes of Zhun Zie War Strategy? Nonetheless, can we try? Ok we hv 3 million of people, less those foreigners, each pay up a $. Ha!! 3 million's award to unroof the shelder, sure got volunteer one.
BTW, the parliament may well suggested the above but it could be turned down loh. We being a good citizen, we want our voices heard as well.
Opposition is really weak. Mr. Low disappoints me. Why asked about the rumor that Mas Selamat is dead and why did not answer PM when asked rather DPM should resign or not.
Why the rumor spread? Escape from the authority is just unheard of. Does the rumor hurting the creditability of our security? For DPM to resign, that's DPM's decision and if PM feels he should not resign then so be it. How is DPM performance during the escape? Good, bad, or average. Well, everyone has different take on this. How much damage has Mas caused?
I did not follow the news of escaping and also did not read the whole story that happen in the parliament. I only read the highlights so I might miss something. I agree with PM that resigning does not solve the problem but sometimes resigning is a necessary step. New person can also solve the problem. Now here is the problem. Mas has escaped what if we can't catch him in near future. Who is responsible for that? And how capable is this guy? Is he the talk talk type or action type? Is he capable hurting our society? If he is capable, in what ways he can hurt us? I know all these are hypothetical questions. But when dealing with terrorism, I think asking these questions are necessary. Who have thought that couple of guys learning flying lesson were going to crash the world trade centre? But what's the root of this terrorism problem? Why these people want to hurt us? What have we done wrong? Can the world leaders find a solution? How as an ordinary citizen to help in solving the problem? Have we hurt someone's feeling or disrespect someone's culture, religion, or lifestyle? When we are hurt do we have violent tendencies? I don't know about you guys but I do.
SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has said that public
officers, including Ministers, should not be automatically removed or
punished just because a lapse has occurred down the line.
In his statement, PM Lee said while the government must admit its mistakes openly and honestly, Singapore should not encourage a culture where officials resign whenever something goes wrong on their watch, or encourage witch-hunts.
Mr Lee made his remarks in Parliament, just a day after Home Affairs Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng gave a detailed account on the escape of Jemaah Islamiyah leader Mas Selamat Kastari.
Since Mas Selamat's escape some two months ago from the Whitley Road Detention Centre, some Singaporeans have made calls for the Home Affairs Minister to take responsibility for the security lapse and step down.
Mr Lee said that when something goes wrong, the government has to deal with it decisively and effectively, identify shortcomings and put it right and take steps to prevent recurrences.
But he said Singaporeans should not do this in a manner which would damage and demoralise the security agencies.
Mr Lee stressed that while it is an easy way out for ministers and leaders to accept responsibility and resign to appease an angry public, this will not fundamentally solve the problem.
He acknowledged that the Minister is ultimately accountable for the policies and operations of his ministry, but said a rational approach to establish who is responsible for lapses has to be taken.
These include finding out who failed in their duties and whether there was negligence or incompetence.
Mr Lee made clear, though, that if there are questions over the integrity of the people involved, they would be removed, no matter how minor the incident is.
He said the government's aim is to try and do things right the first time and urged Singaporeans not to over-react to one bad incident, as it could lead to going overboard in trying to solve a problem.
Mr Lee is satisfied that the Home Affairs Ministry has taken the correct remedial and disciplinary action in light of the escape, and he has thrown his full support behind Minister Wong and the Internal Security Department Director for the good work done by them in the fight against terror.
PM Lee recognises that Singaporeans demand and expect high standard of integrity and performance from every public servant, including ministers. He assured the House that this is what the government will continually strive to achieve. - CNA/ir

That is an urban legend lah...
Doesn't make sense to me. If that were true, there is no need to announce the embarassing escape to the world. Right?

Stupidfool always say stupid things.
Our government purposely set Mas Selamat free so that he can lead us to his nest.
This way we can destroy the complete network.....hahaha.....lol
Mas Selamat escape: DPM to give report on Monday
NEARLY two months after his escape shocked Singapore and prompted a massive manhunt for Mas Selamat, Parliament is likely to be told on Monday how the terror chief managed to get away.
Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng will deliver a ministerial statement in Parliament. He is expected to disclose the findings of a Committee of Inquiry on how the Jemaah Islamiah (JI) leader broke out of the Whitley Road Detention Centre on Feb 27, and what has been done to deal with the lapse.
Dun worry about him lah, now no one know where he is. Still in Spore, may be joking or guess game. By virtue of his well trained GLA warfare, my gut feel is that he had already been exited what he supposed to be. Anyway, life still needs to go on, folks keep it up man.
Maybe tomorrow he will come out of hiding and unload all his shares that had been stuck.
scotty,
His recapture is being competently handled by our first world govt and public service............no need for us little minnows to be unneccessarily concerned with such details.
priorities, scotty, priorities. ;)
Everyone forgot about this already because bull is back?

I found this on talkingcock.com. It's hilarious... hahaha

novena_33:
I just read the postings from another thread -- definitely out of sight but not out of mind
(eg drivers waiting at the causeway will likely remember him ).
Every now and then, my mind sort of associate crowded/quiet places with him.
But then, I am also reminded of the jokes cracked here. Tx, guys.

look like this will be out of sight and out of mind......
Well, I hope for it to be delisted soon! Though, there's a high possibility that it will be cross traded in Indonesia or Malaysia too.
DnApeh!

good one. keke.
I hope this Kastari stock will be suspended soon. The trade, er, track, volume now so high... you've got the BBs (SAF), the sBBs (Special Ops Command), institutional players (Police), and even the whole country's retail players (all of us who got the MMS, saw the posters, news, etc etc), all trying to chase this stock.
Just hope this 'stock' doesn't get 'listed overseas'... so many mkt rumors of Kastari attempting IPO in Malaysia & Indonesia. :-P.
technical analysis:
The price(prize) went through the gap(physical defect) encountering no resistance. It broke out of the bands and is now in unchartered territory. All the King's horses and all the King's men are now chasing the price, even all the aunties and uncles. Will it head North or South? Or will a Halt be called?
just put a price tag on him say $500k....i sure he worth more....with our reputation at stake.....this way i think he will be capture much faster....
maybe we can take leave to find him..... since mkt is so bad.... not worth looking at....

wad a drop today...the number negative 99.9...seems to reflect not only
the market...but coincidentally...reminding us that Mas Selemat is on
the loose...RED ALERT too! call 999...probably the authorities made it
to drop exactly to 99.9 to remind us to call them if see Mas
Selemat...hahah`
