Well done and thanks for sharing! Parkings. One question: What if FSTI doesn't go to 1500? Will you compromise at say 1800?

well, i will not enter the market now.  Need to wait for 1 or 2 more years. STI must go down to below 1500 points and everyday trading volume is so little and low.  then few counters to consider.  SIA, DBS, capital land, venture.  hehehe.  then wait for another 2 to 3 years when Bull is back again.  so in total, need to wait another 5 to 6 years but the patient is worth it.  Well this is how i play.  i am not a risk taker and cannot afford to lose.

Hi Parking... Agree with you... As for me, I bought Singtel, DBS land (now Capitaland).  I top it up during the SAR outbreak.  Sold last year and make a good gain.  Just for sharing...

hey mike,  serious!!!.  I have done that before.  Working through 2001 to 2006, i make two investment in cheap penny stock and it was very damn cheap during bear period. Waited for 2 years and sold them and made about 60k profit, well, it may not be a lot for those who ride the bull wave but to a person who trade so rarely, it is a safest way to make money.  I am waiting on the next bear when market is so dead and will buy and keep for another 2 years.

Hi All.  I have read several of your posting.  This is the first time I am typing.  Well, to be a dealer or not is your choice.  To play stock, you need to have not only the fundamental but the technics and discpline as well and I can tell you, with my 8 years of playing partime, I am still learning.  Not easy!!!!.  My analysis is simple.  Get a job. work to save, when STI down to less than 1500 points, start buying stock and keep for 2 to 3 years and sell.  This way, u get paid for your daily expense on yr stable job and investing is a sideline.  If the investment return is good, in 2 to 3 years, yr profit from shares will be more than yr job annual income.  This is the safest!!!  :)

Try using SJ search engine for "Question about brokerage".
It should be in Jan 08, under "Others" category.
