If the deal is not confirm than it is risky to buy at such high price.

Is it a confirm deal for $6.25 per share? Didn't see the announcement unlike Ascott.

problem is we would never know. This particular one was very tight.. there was not even market rumours where usually the px runs up a little. This one has very low volume prior to the announcement, i.e. the info was very private.

I think this move trapped the riadys? Just read that they got 29.9% stake at $7.90?

I wonder if they are shooting themselves now given how badly the broadmarket has dropped. Even if they offer it at $5, people would gladly take it! Of course, they might see value that we don't. For me, I just hope that the offer stays and gladly get cash back.

Robinson is no longer a dividend stock like it was before since Lippo got that 29%. It had a long record of generous dividend payout. That stopped last year. The new management decided to plough back those cash to expand business instead.

I see that there is going to be boardroom tussle between Lippo and this Middle Easteran company ALF.  Their target is more than 50% and they've received irrevocable undertakings from institutional shareholders (namely, Silchester International Investors Ltd, Aberdeen Asset Management Asia Limited and Tecity Pte. Ltd) representing approximately 23.18% of the issued share capital of RCL.

Zhenxian: market force will ensure that px will be close to 6.25 and not the 4+  last traded price. Unless one is lucky to have bought it before halt.

Hi Sarahlkh,

I am still new to the stock market so just wanted to find out more about all these news posted by the company, whether they are good news or bad news.

So by asking the ppl here if these are good deals so i can learn and make a better desicion in investing in any stocks in the future.

Not to induce any buy or sell though...Smiley

Hi francisd,

Then we should get it at the current price right? cause its something like the Ascott case where Capitalland is offering a higher price to take over it.

Hi hlayar,

Even if it makes no finacial sense, for me a short term player, i can just sell it at $6.25 for a good capital gain right?

It is a good deal, considering todays market conditions.  If you see the charts Robinson was always in the range of 5.5-6$ stock with good divid. payout.  The deal can be better with its operating model and positive cash flow.  Come on guys who are they kidding?

Need to know the price that Auric pays last time for that 29.9% stake, if it makes financial sense.

Hi, Does this means that for every share we have now, they are going to offer us $6.25 to buy back our shares?

Isnt this a very good deal now as the share price is only at $4.46?

Thanks for sharing~!
