I will be looking into it. But will not be actively trading it yet until I understand more. 

 

i like poems coz more of their stability and also the offer almost every CFD and warrents which other brokers dun have.

I like saxo more for their platform in the sense how they allow u to trade, if they can solve their standalone platform bug and delay, i am sure, the other brokers will lose their majority of clients like us to them. however their web platform is good enough since most of us use web to do trade of stocks, u shld try their Index ETF CFD for a try. to me, it beats the warrents anytime.

Poems and Saxobank is good.

I especially like Saxobank's Stock Screener which is provided Free of charge too. Makes me wonder why some local companies are still charging for their charting software .... 

 

idesa168:    u'll need to subscribe and open an account with them...all u have to do is print out the form and sign...mail it over...when they give u your online user ID & password...u'll see the "Live Charts" intra-day when right click on any stocks you pick..and yep...opening an account with them is free~

cashiertan:    Lim&Tan have quite a few solid partnerships in the business sense...and ChartNexus is one of their partners...so not surprisingly they using their software...as for POEMS charting i do have a personal view it's a little outdated kinda...doesn't give a refreshing feeling

 IG Markets have very good "Live" charts too...above all it is one of the more comprehensive and professional looking one...well...for the TA person, if you have the right tools and skills...tt's powerful
 

 

I don't have acc with LimTan. Can I access the chart software you were talking about? If so, please let me know the site to go. I had tried going into the homepage of LimTan Securities but cannot find chart leh!

Hi, i have been always wondering why Lim & Tan Securities's chart look alot like chartnexus, thou I know chartnexus is offering realtime chart only on 2008, however lim & tan has been offering their charting s/w for some time areadi.

i have poems acct and i am no complain with their charting except u need to manually refresh everytime urself and only allowed 1 indicator per time.

Saxobank, my new brokers offer decent charting too but currently still using ShareInvestors Real time charting for 30+ per month, however i know shareinvestors allow u to get their charts for free if u trade via Lim & Tan thru them.

IG markets? i will check it out..

 

 

This brings to mind the clogging up of the Internet too... 

When the Internet becomes the full medium for video traffic, it will come to a standstill, will it not?..

 

Agree with soh, plus their CFD has no stop limit, can make u lose big time !!

 

POEMS when during bull run get hung quite often. So it is good to diversify brokerage firms also :)

 

For me, Phillip (POEMS) is the way to go !... 

 

free is simply something to entice ppl...it gives a more value-for-money...traders like us look for better value...

quality wise...the "Live Charts" provided by Lim&Tan is pretty good and sufficient as well as it uses ChartNexus...something that many r familiar with

 arGh....i feel i should get some kind of advertising fee from Lim&Tan
 

 

Why is free so important?

 

cyjjerry85: Thanks for informing. Now I have one more source for live charts viewing. I used to use Chart function in SJ but now it seem I have alternative from LimTan too. I wonder which is better hahahaha... but I guess all pretty the same. Main thing is it must be FREE !!! :)

IGMarket's realtime chart is also very good with ample indicators. Its free.

Saxobank charting very good and it is free.

 

ShareInvestor ard 30+ for intra day charting just that not as well packed as the other charting s/w. but for me, it is good enough as i do my TA on EOD. i just use intra day chart to get in and out at better price.

however if u are a noob, trade EOD 1st. good enough with Shareinvestor, Chartnexus or Metastock Eod, once u have 6 mths or 1 yr of profitable exp, u can go to intra-day trading. Than u can switch to Real-time MetaStock, Esignal, Tradestation, Omnitrader, Amibroker or Nextview.

anyway Chartnexus will be offering live data next yr.

if u are adv to pro, u can consider jumping to the abv mentioned, the real time data should set around 100+ per month.
