I bought Chip Eng Seng at 44.5c before dividend and 38.5c after dividend. I have the self belief that it will catch the eye ball from instituitional investors once its earning can break 200M SGD, as not may public listed co can achieve that result.

Chip Eng Seng recorded higher profits than last year's corresponding period. Most companies recorded less although higher than last quarter. The result is certainly not bad. Having said that, I think they are holding back, the 2nd half would be much better.

Besides those already mentioned, other projects includes OneFort, Ventuno Balmoral and Suites @ Central. Compare CES's property development, it far outsize many other mid property developers.
A stock worth considerations.
Chip Eng Seng is a major property developer. It is concurrently developing : CityVista Residences, PARC Condominium, Pinnacle @ Duxon, Grange Infinite, Oasis @ Elias. At 0.45cents, it is very very cheap. When most of the higher price stocks had reached their limits, this is one that will favor the investors.
Chip Eng Seng is no longer a Construction Company. It is more a Property Developer now. It is in the process of building more than 1,500 units of condominium concurrently in Singapore excluding Vietnam. Perhaps it should be in the same league as Ho Bee, Wing Tai, ..etc. It is a one-stop company that perform end-to-end construction and property development. It's profit margins are much better as it need not outsource the construction part. Moreover, the recent drop of construction materials cost will also add significantly towards its P&L. Expect some analysts to look at this attractive counter soon.

CHIP ENG SENG - A major property developer
Last week Straits Times posted that the total number of private property units sold in 2007 was 14847 units. To my knowledge, Chip Eng Seng sold WestPeak 659 units, CityVista Residences (Cainhill) 38 units, Ventuno Balmoral 35 units, a total of 732 units. This works out to 4.93 % of the property market in Singapore. Recommend to buy now.
