PROPOSED CHANGE OF COMPANY NAME
The board of directors (the “Board”) of Star Cruises Limited (the “Company”) proposes to change the name of the Company from “Star Cruises Limited” to “Genting Hong Kong Limited” and adopt the Chinese name “雲頂香港有限公司” as the secondary name of the Company to replace the Chinese name “麗星郵輪有限公司” (which was adopted for identification purpose) (the “Change of Company Name”). A special resolution will be proposed at a special general meeting of the Company (the “Special General Meeting”) to be convened and held as soon as practicable for the shareholders of the Company (the “Shareholders”) to consider and, if thought fit, to approve the Change of Company Name.
The proposed Change of Company Name is to align with the corporate strategy of the Company in diversifying into land based integrated resorts, casino and entertainment businesses, in addition to its existing principal businesses of cruise and cruise related operations. It also reflects the Company’s primary place of listing and its affiliation with the Genting Group. Genting Berhad, the holding company of the Genting Group of companies, is listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and is a substantial shareholder of the Company indirectly.

Philippine billionaire Andrew Tan and Star Cruises will today open their US$700 million Resorts World Manila, which may more than double the city’s casino revenue.
“Our expectation is this will contribute to earnings within the first year of operations,” said Kingson Sian, president of Alliance Global Group Inc., the holding company of Tan, the Philippines’ fourth-richest person. “We believe in the potential of Philippine tourism.”
The venture, Travellers International Hotel Group Inc., will open the first floor of a three-level casino at a complex that will include hotels and a shopping mall. Resorts World Manila may earn 21 billion pesos ($620 million) in gambling revenue next year, compared with the city’s 17 billion pesos in 2008, according to Macquarie Group analysts.
“This can create a lot of buzz and attract regional players into the Philippines,” said Manila-based CLSA analyst Raffy Manalaysay. “It can help the government to get its casino project moving.”
Alliance Global rose 5% to 5.10 pesos yesterday in Manila trading, boosting its gain this year to 193%. Star Cruises’ Hong Kong-traded and Singapore-listed shares have more than tripled.
The resort will draw 11.1 million visitors and raise US$315 million ($454 million) in gambling taxes over three years, Sian said.

StarCruUS$ is trading in USD dollar, that's to say it is currently at US$0.21/share. In Poems, you can opt for US$ or Sing$ settlement. If you opt for Sing$ settlement, Poems will base on their conversion rate on the day of settlement.

For StarCruUS$, is this stcok trade in USD dollar as the price shown as 0.21 (USD or SGD)? Can I choose the settle currency in SGD as there are 2 options in the POEMs to choose, USD or SGD.
Sorry about the above silly question but i have never trade the US stock before.
Today StarCru dropped a little ... but now still overbought
All the gamble stock are rising right now, such as Genting, First resort.......So next round should be Starcruise .......BB will look into this counter as well.....Better grasp the opportunity before too late
