Go wake up from ur dream that by going to solar, the company can turn around. Even established player in the field has problem coping, what more for a player who is new to market. By the time they start producing, the margin and selling price would have gotton to a new low.
NEW YORK ? Trina Solar Ltd., a China-based maker of solar power products, reported higher third-quarter profit on Wednesday (Nov. 21), but results missed Wall Street expectations, sending its shares down more than 25 percent.
Net income rose to $7.2 million, or 29 cents per share, from $3.9 million a year earlier. The company did not provide a year-ago per-share figure.
Earnings from continuing operations were 28 cents per share, well below analysts' average forecast of 34 cents, according to Reuters Estimates.
Gross profit margins weakened due to lower average sale prices for its modules and higher silicon costs, the company said.
Revenue soared 155 percent to $82.6 million, driven up by increased volume.
The company said it expects to meet its capacity goals of 150 megawatts in 2007 and 350 megawatts in 2008.
As of Tuesday's stock market close, Trina Solar shares had risen more than 150 percent this year due to skyrocketing demand for its photovoltaic modules.

Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew was engaged in a discussion after delivering a speech on "Singapore in the 21st century" at Nanyang Technological University forum on Thursday.
In response to a student?s question on climate change, Mr Lee said, "We just had a Cabinet paper to discuss energy intensity. There?s a committee that looks into how much energy is used by each particular sector. It is in our interest to do our utmost to keep the use of energy efficient. With the issue of their convertible bonds, I suppose the price of Equation will go up to $0.355 nearer to the date of completion date, 30 November 2007....

The NAV is only 3cts. Full year reve. 27M. Net Profit 1M. The Market Cap is 177M.
They own 37.5% of Centillium and Centillium is falling. These 2 stocks are like two ships tie together (Three kingdoms). What if the near zero NAV centillium caught fire ?

Sold off equation at a high previously at 33cts...with its convertible loan equation is range struck...better to switch to another renewable energy play Oculus which is likely to push >32cts for its rights issue to be approved.Oculus just got $100mil fiancing convertible loan from a US fund manager but the advantage is that Oculus need not pay coupon interest rate and can opt for > financing from same source..very rare ..it speaks of confidence in Oculus base on its electric and hydro electric plants in PRC

smart trader, you indeed invest in the right counter, good luck to you. recycling business bring in huge revenue for this company if you read the financial report carefully. the next thing that going to bring huge revenue to this company is solar business.
as usual..i was bought over by recent announcements and comments in business times on this business...so it is better to buy more at cheap price cheap and get out early later..
