Thanks Mani...

This stock still looks bearish to me. Acc/Dist and Chaikin still trending southwards.

ChinChye... :)
There is a difference between the meaning of the words "Chart" and "Indicator"...
The word "chart" is normally used to mean the price graph of a stock or index....
whereas "indicators" are things like Acc/dist, Bollinger Bands, MA's, RSI, MACD, etc etc.
So if you are new, do not get yourself confused, otherwise your future absorption of knowledge will be faulty at best...

If you are interested in Singaporegal's techniques, why not get hold of the book which I believe she relies on for all her trading ...since it would be impossible for her to tell you everything in this forum....
The book  is:-"Long-Term Secrets to Short-Term Trading" by Larry Williams
Order at Amazons and it will be delivered to your doorstep. (I've found it is a bit difficult to get at the bookshops as it's always out of stock)... Smiley

Hi chinchye,

Yes. I use only a few charts (Acc/Dist, Chaikin, Bollinger, RSI and sometimes MACD). I check to see if their signals reaffirm one another. That is all.

I can't tell WHEN a breakout will occur. The charts can only give me clues that it MAY (not will) happen. If the breakout comes, then I ride the trend.

Hi Singaporegal,

THks for sharing.. i realise you always use Acc/Dist , Chaikin and Bollinger Band to determine uptrend/downtrend for your TA analysis.. is that all? Able to share ur secret? Heehee..

Oh 1 more question, how do you know when will the price of the stock breakout assuming all the factors are in your favour.. 1 month/ 1 week ? Appreciate if you can answer my newbie questions.. Smiley I am still learning.. hopefully, can master TA well..not a greedy man.. just hope enough to pay for my monthly HP and internet bills, i will be happy already.. haha...

smltimer : If Acc/Dist and Chaikin go opp direction, skip this stock and look for another one.. or wait for trend to show more... keke... my guess... haha...

Hi chinchye,

A stock looks bearish to me if it has a downtrending Acc/Dist and Chaikin line. If the volumes are higher than usual (together with the downtrend), it isn't a good sign as well.

Bollinger bands really tight. Acc/Dist and Chaikin are bearish looking.

This counter  has been on a downtrend for a long time.

Give support? Call me meecenary but I wouldn't give support to a business/enterprise with limited money making potential. Must not confuse money making with sympathy.

I admire and respect both Sims. However, I do hope they get their business into shape soon.

This sim is like the sim of Osim. Both companies not doing well but both man have lots of drive. But believing Mr Sim is 1 thing, having faith in the management is another thing. Mr Sim may be fantastic but is the current management as good? A well managed company is never a 1 man show (can't fight a war alone ya).. So, i'll rather stay clear of this counter until there is some visible directions from the company. Its kinda sad if a strong leader like Mr Sim is not supported by a good management.

Strong General + Weak Troops = Lousy Company

I may like to add....Mr Sim was rejected in S'pore for a listing in the stock mkt. So he went to America and made it big there. Then S'pore invited him back to the country and promised him a listing for he is a proud son of Singapore. I like this guy, who has the never die mentality. Business wise, he is not a business man, an engineer with drive. But those were the days, business horizon changed. Hope he can make a come back soon, an Creative trade at near high of $69.00.

Mr. kiLrOy, you should have buy Altec Lansing 5.1 heh heh.

Yeah, Mr. Centaur, you can't rely on IT shows or warehouse sales to boost revenue.

I like Mr. Sim. I mean how can you not like the guy. He was only a poly student who brought his invention to an IT show in the US. I don't think he was backed by the government or any MNC. You don't see any other replica of Mr. Sim in Singapore. I still remember I got this demo tape from Sierra to promote Sound Blaster. I think the tape its the sound track of Sierra RPG, King's Quest. When I first heard it, it was awesome. It's virtually a revolutionizing product. Man, I should have kept that tape. It's antique now. By all means, I am not old. It's just PC evolve too quickly. Maybe we should start a forum to throw ideas to boost Creative's business.

Don't think Creative will be making much out of Comex.. What i saw are pp buying the cheaper items such as webcams, headsets etc which are already at dirt cheap prices. Wonder if there is much profit to be made anyway.
