superboy,
i personally did not own Goldtron shares. In early 1990's the disk drive industry bloom and Goldtron appeared to be benificiary due to disk drive orders on PCBAs. Internet bubble in year 2000 , perfect storm had changed the landscape drastically, thus you can see most internet stocks or technology stocks went down badly.
You were asking who is CEO? you may read old posts in this forum to know who the Chairman is, just click 'Last' on this forum's top right corner, then read the first 10 posts you will find a lot of informations.
IMHO, there are a lot of good counters elsewhere. Good Luck
Green8,
The ceo is from where??
You don't know the CEO is from where? Once you know the answer...... change management price can go up??? Boleh-kah?
The Goldtron is a very funny stock as the price was more than $1 in 1992, in 1998 it drop till 3 cts and rose to 42 cts in 2000. Then it drop to 1.5 cts in 2002 and fluatuate between 2-5 cts between 2002 to 2007. It only rose to 5 cts in May 2006 due to the take over news.
You can see this share swing up (relatively high) and swing down till relatively low. We don't know when this share will swing again.... If it can swing again, and if we are to buy the Right issue, then we can make a huge profit.
If the management is not capable, then this share would not chage much. I wonder why they would not change the Board Committee member as they did not expand Goldtron equity.
Good stock ? Not at this moment. Its price always stuck at $0.02-$0.04. Find out who are in the management you will know its prospect. Caliber is important.
hey tiandi,
Thanks for the golden words. I have a better undetstanding of rights issued now. What is your view on this Goldtron Right Issued? The price is very low, worth a try?
Goldtron good proscept?
hi tiandi,
Thanks for sharing, good post, now i have a better picture for my Sapphire share, also 1 for 1 Rights, which i need to decide to sell or to subscribe.
superboy,
i think you should understand the followings ( I ignore the effect of warrant to simplify explanation):
1. Rights is for company to raise cash from market
2. When Rights is subscribed, the number shares went up, in this case, 1 for 1 means the Rights, when fully subscribed would make the number of shares to double its existing number, when number of shares become double, the earning per share, dividend ( if declared), etc are now divided by twice the number of share and thus there are diluted.
3. Rights Issue Price of 1.5 cents means those already vested or buy share before Ex-Right date would be entitled to the Rights Shares. And that you need to pay a Exercise Price of 1.5 cents to convert Rights Share to new mother share. So when the market price of Mother share is , say, 2.5 cents, you pay 2.5 cents ++, after that you pay 1.5 cents to subscribe, total you pay 4 cents ++ for 2 times the share, then per share your cost is 2cents +.
4. If you DO NOT BUY any mother shares, but you want to BUY Rights from the Market, you still can BUY Rights Shares during the Rights Trading Periods. This is called Nil-Paid Rights Shares (ie you have not yet pay for subscription, which is 1.5 cents). normally the nil-paid Rights Shares has a price close to Mother Share price - Right Issue Price - a small discount ( for commision++ on Buying Rights from the market). So if you want to BUY the nil-paid Rights Shares, assuming Mother share is traded at 2.5 cents, the Nil-paid Rights share will be traded around 1 cent, you pay 1 cents ++, after that you need to EXERCISE buy paying 1.5 cents to convert then to new mother share, so you total cost become 1cent++ plus 1.5cents, back to 2.5 cents++... Not the same as your thinking of just 1.5 cents..
as such you could not realise the '40% gain' you expected instantaneously ... I hope this helps.
hey tiandi,
pls enlighten....then how should i view the Right issue? What is the thing i should see?
thanks :>
Green8,
no lah, as I read superboy's method I am concerned that he really think that such 40% is achievable by just comparing Rights Issue Price and Mother share price. In actual fact it does not work that way. I hope he can find out the real meaning of the Rights issues
tandi,
It sounds like law graduate style of writing, right ?
superboy,
your way of thinking buying Rights at 1.5 cents and become worth 2.5 cents , thereby you pocket 40% gain is NOT CORRECT.
Please be careful and re-calibrate your thinking of Rights.
DO NOT make decision on this "immediate 40% Gain " until you understand the true meaning of Rights. Good Luck.

Anyone got comment on the right issue of Goldtron? It seems to be a good deal as it is 1.5 cts only and the market now is 2.5cts. Any advice to buy or not to buy?
It is your choice to ignore misleading informations. Invest with care.
I think the right issued at 1.5 cts is rather worth it as the market value is now 2.5cts. If you buy, you would have earn 40% immediately without any effort....
Funny leh, with the SGX approval to list the right issued, it should be good news. Why the share price drop to 2cts?? With the right issued, Goldtron will have more money for other investment and to pay its debt for its subsidaries.
rights issued and warrant at 0.15....hmmm, anyone have any advise on it being a good buy? it isnt that enticing given that goldtron dropped again to 0.20...:( sighz..... beginning to feel weary on this stock.....given i bought at 0.35...:S
There is a halt forthis counter. Anyone knows what happen? There seems to be good news as the Company has been in talking for a few initiatives....

The Rights Issue and the sale of Radiance share are on the way.... It seems SGX has given the green light. Goldtron would be very cash rich then....
