Hi Sohguanh, absolutely agree with U. However, how many of 'punters' have the huge amount of $$$ to buy and hold for long period of time as what WB did/does? I wouldnt say no, but not many (huge amounts for small punters). As mentioned by our SM Goh, these few yrs are golden yrs for SG and I'm sure small punters like me hoping to ride on the wave to make small $$$... wont be rich, but just making small bucks will do... I think it's driven by greed...

Daffodils: it is hard for contra or short players to really earn big monies cuz after so many trades in and out and you total them up in a year you may not really earn much. of cuz if you can consistently earn alot each year it means you have mastered the art of making monies from stock via contra or short

my personal experience is buy and hold will yield the best returns after each year.if you have understood about warren or other stock gurus picks the enormous profits belong to the buy and hold and sell when necesary strategies. not an inducement for you to change strategy but juz some food for thought. nickyng and tchoonw will disagree with me of cuz :)

i tink you should cut loss. my 1 cent worth of opinion.

I bought this counter at 0.455 but its perfomance has been week since it resumed trading. Should I sell as my contra period is coming up?

Should reckon as a strategic move as acquistion of this company has guaranteed profit of 9mil and 12 mil in FY 08 and FY09..The selling pressure is probably triggered profit taking and mkt sentiment..Hopefully it can reach 50 cent level. Cheers! Feel free to comment...

The co. did not say anthing the rationale behind such a move.  It is a construction counter moving to a new buss. segment other than the main industry.  Good as long as they can make more money with gurantteed profits.  Any of you guys want to comment on this takeover target.  Vested.
