See2eye thinks the full year result is going to announce around Aug 2010...and as see2ee look at its past Profit after Tax performance,   this ecounter has positive profit after tax most of the time, and it does not have more than 2 consecutive quarter making loss after Tax, since 2003.....except for

this FY 2010.    I see numbers for the quarterly loss as  -3,104 (Q3), -584 (Q2), -365 (Q1).

IF the report see2eye referred to is correct, the past FY's quarterly loss happen on  Q4 2009  -1,030,   Q2 2006 Dec -1,609  [note: Full Year 2002, -78,419]

Knowing it NAV is around 0.18-0.19,  I think it would have little upside when it announce the FY unless its Q4 a very good Q4 and has broken the loss trend.  I think there would not be any dividend this year  Smiley

Today K1 got very very strange phenomenon

Many sell down of 1-2 lots within span of 30-45 seconds

Can someone pls explain or confirm is this automated machine BB trick to press down price so they can buy up?

I have firm belief that May 2010 results will be astounding

I remember the final divident (tax exempt one-tier) for the FY Jun 2009 is .75 cents.  The 3rd Qtr result shall be available in May 2010.

what is the Dividend  Distribution  in  FY2009?

this is an important  indication.

see2eye      ( Date: 21-Aug-2008 10:42) Posted:

Basing on the current trading price of 0.225 to 0.23,  the full year divdient of 8 cents worked out to be 34.7% return.  Of it,  if approved,  about 21.7% or 5 cents is paying out soon.

K1 seems to be a good buy.... even better than REIT for long-term investment.

drsubaru,

Well, you should ask yourself......will you pay $2 for a $1 item cos the premium of $1 is made up of intangibles like the brand name (goodwill), reputation for good customer satisfaction, etc.

Also, how did this premium appear on their books?......did they overpay for for some of their acquisitions?

Then, also look at it fundamentally.....Is the 18c NAV giving reasonable returns?

I guess you have to dyodd (do your own due diligence).

With this info, what are your tots?

Seems to have strong Temasek and Keppy as substantial shareholders

Basically that is a quick snapshot of K1.

However, as of 2Q2010 (31 Dec09), NAV is 18c but NTA is 9c.....=> 50% of NAV is in Intangibles such as Goodwill, customer service etc.......Hence, current mkt price of 17c is a premium of 89% to NTA but 5.6% disc to NAV.

Personally, I will be concerned with the fact that the 'Intangibles' is valued as much as the NTA.

Doing my own research on this stock

Their main holdings is in HELM, rail car leasing etc

It seems Education side making money

China Auto should give it some push in the medium term

The oil find is a dark horse, any comments on it?

K1 holds 2m+ shares of MMR.

Issued shares of K1 is 2.2B+ shares.

Hence dilution factor if any movement of MMR share price translated to K1 NAV is in the region of 1,100X.

Take this into consideration when figuring out the impact MMR share price to K1 NAV.
