Hotel Properties Limited (HPL) said that its subsidiary, HPL Properties (North Asia) Pte Ltd (HPLPNA), has sold its 85 per cent stake in HPL-Hines Development Pte Ltd for RMB 765 million (S$148.50 mln). HPL will record a profit of about S$73 million from the sale. The buyer is Lead Wealthy Investments Ltd. HPL-Hines has a 72.76 per cent stake in 21st Century Real Estate Company Limited, which in turn owns a mixed use property development located in Lujiazui, Pudong, Shanghai . The sale will result in an increase in HPL's earnings per share by 14.6 cents and increase the net tangible assets per share by $0.148 based on the latest audited consolidation accounts of HPL for the year ended December 31, 2009. HPL's directors believe the sale will allow the group to realise a gain on disposal and to rebalance its geographical mix of assets.

Daily n weekly Bollinger Bands may not stop the uptrend , only monthly Bollinger Band at $2.92  is not easy to clear .

HPL has crossed  $2.68 easily  to reach $2.75 , now the support is at $2.68 , n it is still on the way to test new high .

it collapsed back down due to the run up on thin vol..

today it's doing the same thing again on thin vol..

2.64 to 2.72....those who want to ride this trend may want to be careful and take profit once

there's signs of reversal..

Thanks for the analysis, really help us a lot. Vested at $2.53 as it did not pull back further. Now really on the way up, think break $2.62 another round of surge will come. Hopefully like the last round but provided Dow Jones & Shanghai can cooperate with us!

Fortunately , it did not  close at or below this point .( $2.50 ) . HPL  has gained 6 cents yesterday with healthy volume traded . Recently it made a pull back to the 38.2 % Fibo 's zone at $2.46  from the peak at $2.82 . And at the same time , it formed a flag formation within three weeks  n broke out yesterday . Any pull back is a great opportunity for buying in .

Normally when volume is up on thin volume, it means that buying momentum is getting weaker. Possibilities of pull back may happen but still depends on market conditions. Now DJ already up >200 pts, maybe Bintang's target will reach real soon. For me, I won't get in now to be on the safe side. If you are already in the trade, then congrats! Let's see the movement tomorrow. Just a note of caution, not to scare anyone.

I prefer to wait for pull back and if it doesn't break $2.30, I may consider when it turns up again. Just my personal view.
