Hi Livermore,

I agree that too many stocks may also dilute the earnings and emotions may set in when taking decisions.  However, I think a nominal of 10 stocks should be okay and they will enable sufficient diversification.  Anyway, I respect your decision and I agree your style may have given you better confidence.  To each his own.  Cheers.

Hi I_tan888,

I only have 2 stocks and 1 warrant. Other stocks are invested with CPF. I invested last year and I am looking at the long term potential of my stocks. My style is more focussed rather than buying so many stocks. I don't think it is such a good idea to buy so many stocks. Sometimes you become over exposed . You also don't make much.

Warren Buffet has billions but I read recently he has only 10 stocks.

Livermore,

You mean you're going to dump all your money on only 1 counter?  Isn't that too risky, unless you hit it right?

I find 10 stocks too many. I am lookig to slowly accumulate on maybe 1 counter. Definitely not selling :).......

Nickng,

You are so lucky, you have unloaded all your shares, for those who have unloaded, I think they can sit back and relax, take a holiday, come back in 3 months time. Stay at the sidelines and watch.

Hi fisher,

Keep all your Good stocks, collect all the dividends, sell all your "rojak" stocks, trim your portfolio, keep may max 10 good counters.

Just my opinions only.

Be a wise investor.

Ok....better sell everything yah, buy back when STI is below 1500. So the Wees, the Lees and the Tans better sell all their holdings in UOB,UOL,UIC,HawPar, OCBC, Great Eastern, Robinson,WBL, FNN and APB and buy back when these crash. Think the Wees, the Lees and the Tans must be great market timers over the last 75 years or so as they have billions. Sorry, I got to go and call my brokers to unload eveything before it is too late.

Although STI had rebounded today up 34.4 pts to 3087.6 , (after yesterday drastic drop of 105.7 pts to 3,053.2) but the volume is very low at only 859.4 million shares traded. Now it is already 15:05hr. So beware. SELL into STRENGTH.

Rule 7. Cut your Losers EARLY.

This my opinion only.
