No worries as long as you know when to cover back...Don't forget that I can still borrow script. As long as I have the patient to wait for it to crash, I will not bleed. Fyi, I am a season shortist in this industry!

 

punter2006: precisely if 8 Mar causes tchoonw lose monies so muz take revenge. Got chance will go in to make up for the loss earlier. This time punt even bigger. This is typical gambler behavoir isn't it? Lose already gamble again and this time play bigger to recoup back previous losses and make some.

We should wish tchoonw all the best in his endeavours shouldn't we? Why dampen his spirit? :P

tchoonw why are u suggesting shorting again, have u forgotten the 8 Mar when u try shorting but it went up instead..be careful .... 

 

It's time to short and hammer Sunvic again...Don't ever think it will cross and stay above 80c...Even it can, it will be shortlived!

fortunegal: short sell and contra tactics provide day traders a means to earn good and quick monies. In order to attain that they buy in 10,100,1000 lots in order to enjoy the difference multiplying effect. It is dangerous indeed but if playing that is the rice bowl of day trader one cannot fault them.

What I don't like is these tactics is depriving serious investors of a chance to buy and sell the shares they like. Some of the traders borrow monies from banks,brokerage firms,finance companies to increase capital to play the shares.

Shares to them are just a tool to make monies. In fact going scriptless is the way to go since most are only interested in the price movement than the underlying hardcopy itself? :P

Unit trust deny day traders to use short sell and contra tactics and hence it is less chaotic in the UT arena.

 

yes it is dangerous and have to cover back within the same day..

 

in my own personal opinion, i find shorting so dangerous...  so far i never try it.

 

Closed at 0.72 today, up 4 cents...never short when market is good, when market turns sour, then you might try shorting..the STI index will be a rough gauge..just my opinion.

 

Have u shorted? If you short at 9.00am today , u should have short at a price of 0.68 or 0.685. Sitting on a loss now..the STI have climb 26points..better be careful.
