skeleton: you have interpreted the Time&Sales entries correctly. an easier way to remember is when the entry is flagged as B it means a transaction has been done at the buyer queue (usually lower price) which means someone selldown to the buyer at buyer price. S it means a transaction has been done at the seller queue (usually higher price) which means someone buyup from the seller at the seller price.

Can see that buyers are returning to the market, on recovery mode. Economy still looks good in Singapore. Properties will stay up for at least 3 years until developers who have bought land via en-bloc have finished building their homes. Until such time, there will still be a shortage of properties.

That's why it is a bargain. Plus if you look at their cash flows, you will realise that losses are non-operational items.

ASA Grp actually has an NTA per share of S$0.49, and if their recent property sale in China is factored in, NTA is about S$0.52.

Current price = S$0.165

Here are some of my bargain tips:

ASA (down 32.65% from recent peak)

Allied Tech (down 28% from recent peak)

Metal Comp. (down 19.51% from recent peak)

Nippecraft (down 19.44% from recent peak)

Happy bargain hunting. These stocks should be good buys as they are trading below 1.5x Price/NTA.

skeketon : hahaha !

i suppose there are many ways to fish ....

some use their bare hands ...some use spears.... some use hook and tackle ...some use the net .... some use kelong ..some use trawler to hull up .... etc..etc...

i think the important thing is to find ur niche and be an expert in what u know best....

knowing other things are 'good to have'  and may come in handy

no bit of extra infromation is going to be wasted ....a time will come when they too will be needed ....

so lets keep on learning !

knowledge is power !

Am i correct to say when you placed a total of 110 lots at the BUY Q at 0.150 ? there are actually 50 lots waiting to be sold at 0.150 and hence the BUY UP. The remaining 60 lots come from the SELL Q (at 0.155) who later sold down at 0.150 to you and hence the SELL DOWN ?

Thanks for your explaination. Hope i am still not too confuse when reading the Trade Summary Buy/Sell volumes and Time and Sales volumes

Cheers

Terrence,

Actually I was also eyeing for that first 50 lots but was undecisive and you grabbed it real quick. Anyway Q for 150 lots at 0.15 and got about half now.... hahaha

First hour of today is good for bargain hunting. IMHO, when there is a broad market correction, buying at the dip is bargain hunting. Whereas when an individual stock falls becoz of some fundamental problems, buying at the dive is known as catching a falling knife.... Smiley

May all be well

ok, when I placed my order to buy 110 lots, there was 50 lots in the sell queue, so the 50 lots was buy up, the remaining 60 lots was placed in the queue, so I go it when someone sell down to me

Just bought 110 lots of PNE Ind. at 0.15, got 2 BBs each supporting the stock at 0.14 and 0.135, 400 lots each. Now I have 210 lots of PNE Ind.

Gd luck.

Hi Terence,

care to share with me how you managed to buy 110 lots of PNE IND at 0.15 at 9.40 am when 50 lots was BUY UP at 9.23 am while 60 lots were SELL DOWN at 9.27 am....sorry for asking cos i really dunno how to read the Sell/Buy Volumes or the Buy Up/ Sell Down Volume between the TIME and SALES and TRADE SUMMARY.  Very confusing as they seemed to be the opposite way. It will be of great help to me to know which directions the counter is heading towrads.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers Smiley

In case anyone is interested in Malaysian shares, here is one of my pick:

Gopeng Berhard

Principally engaged in the cultivation of palm oil (a hot thing now), construction and water treatment. Turnaround stock, with good operating cash flows, in come statement turning positive.

The best part is it is now trading at RM0.995, compared with NTA of RM1.20

Vested with 27,000 shares.

Guys, my portfolio shall remain today. I will not be selling any of my holdings. Stay calm and do not panic. Today will be all red. Be prepared and do not buy with what you cannot afford to loose.
