cyjjerry85...

May I know at Lim&Tan, what time we can start placing all our stock orders?

Is it 5.05pm or 5.15pm?

Maxliukt:

Just simply go to www.limtan.com.sg , on the top right corner (orange) you will see "Open Account with us"...print out the document in "Account Opening Form" ...fill up particulars and send to them. Remember to photocopy your IC and send together. I bother to give you this information is because I found their services good...among the 3 brokerage firms I have.

I guess any "grace period" given after T+3 is an additional service of goodwill extended by some brokers.

The T+3 requirement is actually imposed by SGX and the broker has to comply unless they find

a way to 'bridge' the requirement eg. they 'settle the bill first' on behalf of the customer.

It could be like this... just a thought.

Note: It is SGX that will do the forced selling after T+3, not the broker.

Mostly trade poems because of its user-friendly website as compare to DBSVB and CIMB.

But i think none of them provide comprehensive Charting

Have some friend recommend Lim & Tan too ..

Never trade with Philips (POEMS). I had very bad experience previously where my shares were nearly forced-sold. Had to take leave and scurried to Raffles Place from Jurong to pay up. Told myself never to trade with them again.

Now trade mostly through Lim & Tan.Even after over T+3, broker will call to remind and you can still pay through EPS without any threats.

Yes, strictly speaking, if you exceed the due time for payment, they can force sell the next day...

But I will suggest you call them first thing in the morning on Tuesday and confirm with them.

This call is important, ie if they have not already contacted you by now... :)

You must make sure they receive your money by 9.00pm on Monday, 11 June 2007, if you are paying by Internet or ATM.
