Yap ... agreed.

That's the reason which led me to conclude the action is with SMB for now.

Company doing well but very illiquid.......top 20 shareholders hold 85.44%.......assuming these are long term investors, free float is about 30 million shares. 52 wk ave trading vol is about 169lots per day.

Vested and pretty confidence this counter will come back strongly .... look at its result announcement recently...

Looking towards SMB united now .... hmmm pretty tempting.

Noticed the spread in price is rather drastic, ie. from 24.5 - 31.5 cents; unfortunately volume rather low.....

Ha Ha, really amused by the high fluctuation, closing at 30 cents again....

testing shareholders' patient or shaking their confidence?????

Here it goes again, drop to 21.5 cents and stage a rebound to 24.5 cents eventhough with a lost of 1.5 cents. Weird pattern.....blame it on the bad sentiments???

sansgp, are you very familiar with this sector??? Seems like you know the "in and out"  where this counter is concerned. Care to share more.

Well, for the moment, focusing on the ultimate business  rather than speculate what the "frustrated" stockists are doing.

Cheers!

Winsontkl, The erratic movement in the price lately could be from the 'frustrated' stokists who make this probably to get the market players' attention. There may be a reason that their patience is running out and therefore are trying to create a sell down situation in order to see how  low it goes or just to monitor whether big players come out to 'support' the share from falling down too cheap. It seems the strategy is working. But it is difficult to make money with so little trading volume.. Deals are done sometime in 1 lot, 2 lots. Brokerage itself eats up into all your profit! how to make money with 1 lot, 2 lot ?  There are other 'cheap' stocks trading with high volumes give opportunity to enter/exit at will.

As far as SMB helping out in the business for EDMI... Well I guess it is other way around. EDMI's profits are feeding into SMB's coffers nicely. It is a cash cow for them :) Unable to enter into the Sgp Energy Mkt probably because the product did not meet the authorities' requirement. As simple as that. So bad, do not have the business to shout about, in its own back yard.

sansgp, love the way you summarise this baby.......

But, love even more the Liberalization of Energy Market which provides a huge potential upside for EDMI.....

Although as mentioned that this counter does not sell its product in S'pore, its mother share SMB United (well established in switch board) will pave the way thru its network.

Keeping finger cross and waiting patiently for the Right Wave comings its way.Smiley

EDMI has sold its product in dozen other countries, except in Sgp! Anyway, its business is GLOBAL, not local :)

The fact the counter dropped from its 48 cts to 37 and then to 27  level (bet. July - Aug) possibly due to the erratic way of its revenue/profit.

Look at these facts: just in feb. 07, EDMI announced record profits, placed out shares to KE @ 26cts, cheered investors with more promises of income going forward...Share promptly moved up to 48cts.. Those who has to make money made plenty within this short time, including its directors. What happened, next ? Only to announce profit warning and then to produce dismal performance 1H07.. If you look at it closely, couple of month before the result announcement, the MD and another Director had rid of all their share holdings (one sells in to the open mkt and another 'donates to his daughter').. basically, what the counter facing today is lack of trust in its management by the market players!!! Look at the explosive growth similar companies experiencing worldwide... Comparing to them, EDMI's performance is peanuts.. Though 30% annual growth sounds too good for this company, the potential is lot more than that. 50 - 100% growth every year for the next few years should be a fair statement. No doubt, the co. will do well simply because the liberalising global energy market will pull it along. These forces will not let EDMI fail. See, how fortunate this co. is..  :) Really, EDMI needs sound leaders to bring it to the next level.. Till then, we guys only have to hope.. and so on... But, have patience please. As long as you can accommodate your opportunity losses (eg: had you invested in other, fast moving counters using the money instead and so on), this counter should provide a sound investment return over a very long term.. Because Energy Market is such a huge giant.

Another weird pattern arise pushing up the price by 30% ie. 8 cents......ironically, similar to recent pattern, today Temasek Holdings has set a December 12 deadline for bids for Tuas Power in a sale that is likely to fetch as much as $2 billion.

Seems liberalisation in Power sale provide the upward thrust for this counter.

Shyplayer, any comments.....

You are right! Possibbly my view is affected by personal interest. Decision without emotional attachment is quite difficult to attain.

winsontkl,

Yes, but I doubt such news will be the catalyst for an almost 70% gap up in its last traded price of 28 ct on 31 Oct 07. But....its anyone's guess.

shyplayer, thanks for your comments. Frankly speaking, this idea did goes thru my head, however, on hindsight, thought that because Govt. is liberalizing the energy market, there might be news that is yet to announce.

Cheers.

winsontkl,

total 49 lots done in 4 transactions with price ranging between 30.0 to 47.5 cts.

Cannot draw any conclusion except perhaps someone punched the wrong key and seller pounced on the error.
