SINGAPORE (Dow Jones)--Shanghai Tat Hong Equipment Rental Ltd. and Beijing Zhongjian Zhenghe Construction Machinery Ltd. Wednesday signed an agreement to form a joint venture that will rent tower cranes and construction equipment in China.
Shanghai Tat Hong is 90%-owned by Tat Hong Ltd. (T03.SG), the world's largest crane company by fleet size of crawler cranes.
Under the agreement, Beijing Zhongjian Zhenghe will contribute 33 tower cranes, valued at CNY35 million, from its rental fleet and Shanghai Tat Hong will provide four tower cranes and cash to a total value of CNY35 million, the two companies announced at a joint media conference.
Each company will hold a 50% stake in the joint venture called Shanghai Zheng He Tat Hong Construction Equipment Rental Co. Ltd.
Ronald Ng, chief executive of Tat Hong Holdings, told reporters that the joint venture aims to increase the size of its rental fleet to 100 units within two years.
He also said that Tat Hong sold its 14.3% stake in CSC Holdings Ltd. (C06.SG) Wednesday for S$35 million in line with the company's strategy to sell non-core assets.

Tat hong halted cos they disposed their CSC shares..no longer a shareholder of that company...
No wonder tat hong is full steam rolling ahead!.. ;p
other construction and property stocks have already moved so much and this one havent leh... It's time for this laggard to play catch up already........

Agree with u. But LKHSp Directors hv NOT done enough to enhance shareholders' value (of at least $2 each). Minority shareholders must see how Isetan remove the independent directors @ today's EGM & act likewise immediately 'cos time is running out for S.44 tax credit utilisation (of at least $0.60 gross per share).
Good value..big player in the construction mkt in SG..
