CHIONG AH!!!

Viking Offshore & Marine: Continues with its acquisition plan

Summary: Viking Offshore and Marine (Viking) announced that it will acquire Marshal Systems Pte Ltd (MSPL) for S$17m. This comprises S$12m in cash (to be paid in two tranches, likely Nov 2010 and May 2011) and the allotment of S$5m worth of new shares (likely May 2011). The acquisition will expand Viking’s client base and offer cross-selling opportunities within the group. Viking will also be able to provide a more complete value proposition to its customers, hence increasing its chances of success during the bidding of bigger projects. Meanwhile, the group will also acquire two properties and dispose a property to consolidate its operations. Viking will be using its internal resources, bank borrowings, and proceeds from the disposed property to fund the above. The staggered cash payment schedule should also ease the group’s cash flows. We maintain our BUY rating with fair value estimate of S$0.32 on the stock.   (Low Pei Han)

Viking has make some announcement; Andy Lim to have its share option execrise. May I know what is this abt n what impact will it be on Viking itself.

Viking has purchase 2 other company fully to its new industry addings. With all this transanctions, do you all think the time is not ripe yet, hence no major movement of its share price will be expected any time soon?

Thanks Please advice (understand yr views will be of only personal thinkings)

Singapore offshore and marine services firm Viking Offshore expects revenue in 2010 to exceed $100 million, while it eyes acquistions of at least two more firms to boost growth, senior officials said. The firm was previously known as Novena Holdings, a furniture maker, and only began its shift to the offshore and marine sector earlier this year when it bought Viking Airtech, which designs and installs the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems used in rigs and vessels. “Every company we acquire, we want to make sure at least they’re number one or two in that industry, that’s our wish list,” Andy Lim, CEO of Viking Offshore told Reuters in an interview. “Hopefully in the near future, if we find the right fit, we will merge with them.” “We expect revenue this year to cross the $100 million mark,” he added. The firm had revenue of $37.6 million in 2009. Viking Offshore aims to be a “one-stop” shop for shipyards like Keppel and Sembcorp Marine , by acquiring companies that provide various mechanical and engineering services to them. It is in talks with at least two firms, which Lim said would add installation of marine communication equipment, instrument controls and fire safety systems to its services if acquired by Viking Offshore.

I also agree with the coming 4th quarter result to push to price up!

Btw, when is the result likely to be known?

I do think viking can excel.

Hope its 4th qtr results will be as good as the 3rd qtr one. So it can push its share value to a higher height
