Thanks. That was very informative. When you say they stop buy in at say 0.805, does that mean they (resumably BB altho i dunoo what that means) are currently selling off to scare us and later coming in to buy again (at below 0.805 level). Also, one more question is if the target price set is really achievable and what sort of pricing will they do the mass selling? apologies for the spate of questions as i am a newbie. thanks for yr guidance.
It is typical BB strategy to scare small fries into selling out before they buy in. It is the same for Pine Agritech. I believe those BB analysts have done a estimation on roughly at which pricing they will not buy in any more but in between they can play around day after day to flush us out so they can catch us yippeeee!!!
So as long as you don't contra or short and paid up your shares in real hard cash you can keep it and ride along with them when they do mass selling that time. Usually if target is say 0.91 the actual price they stop buy in is 10% discount which is 0.819 or I should say around 0.80-0.805

can anyone tell me whats happening? its slowly inching downwards. Kinda scary. fundamentally looks good though.
hope it does not drop further..
very well supported at 79c!
let's see if those greedy big boys have accumulated enough or not... we poor small fry just buy & hold & patiently wait for their action :)
In a runaway bull market, no one can stop the tide... but the what's the real point of 'stopping the tide'?
hope they won't disappoint us!
today huge vol is definitely very encouraging!
DBS Vickers has a buy rating with fair value of 91 cents. When they made the recommendation on 19 Jan 07, price was only 80 cents....
This one is moving ... wonder how long and high it will go ... :).
Cheers.
drug stock? you can monito starpharm, it rises from 0.37 to 0.46 recently though..
Bought today at 0.79 given the price weakness. Have been looking for a drug stock for sometime & now finally the mkt presents me with a excellent opportunity. To me, there are only 2 types of drugs stocks that deals with below mkt are worth to buy.
1) One that deals with erectile dysfunction
2) One that deals with oncology
Bought at 0.58, sold at 0.70 today. No time to monitor at work, so queued sell order at 0.70 the night before. Sigh. Lesson: Work or no work better find out what is going on, don't blindly place a sell order.
To those with the nerve and good sense to hold, congrats and good luck! To those who let go like me, ok la ah? Money made. Cheers to you too.
DBS, OCBC, CIMB all dished out 'BUY' call today with TP at 1, 0.93, 0.96 respectively. PLUS, coverage on both ST and ZB. Guess it is quite a big deal that all rushed out to cover the news. Funny how it actually dropped intraday yesterday when the acquisition became public knowledge. I guess people did not realise that it was a cancer drug maker.
So, a bit more juice left still. A consolation here to make up for the non-optimal exit over at GIL. :)
Looks like still a lot more juice left... :)
AsiaPharm Group , one of the biggest makers of anti-inflammatory drugs in China, surged on hopes and broker upgrades that it's recent acquisition of another Chinese pharmaceutical group would boost earnings growth.
AsiaPharm bought a 100% stake in Solid Success Holdings Limited, the holding company of Nanjing Sike Pharmaceutical Ltd. and Nanjing Kanghai Pharmaceutical Ltd. in a cash and share transaction worth about RMB345 million yuan.
It said the acquisition would add new oncology-related products to the Group's offering and would improve financial performance significantly in 2007.
CIMB analyst Gary Ng in a client note said the acquisition should provide a strong catalyst for the share price as it could lead to AsiaPharm becoming the leading oncology drugs maker in China.
"We expect stellar growth in financial year 2007 due to the lack of intense competition in this class of drugs," said Ng who raised his earnings estimates and target price for shares in AsiaPharm to $0.96 from previous target of $0.67.
DBS Vickers also upped its target price to $1.00 from $0.70.
