ok peeps, have analysed the vol price charts for csm for friday.

total of 54 sells (ave lot size 167) vs 212 buys (ave lot size 17). Might have missed out a figure or two but the indication's clear enough; institutions were selling and retailers were buying.

no go for me for this baby.

ace6868, 'cos csm's fundamentally unsound as well. so perhaps see if you can take advantage of the market exuberance and sell out mebbe ard 1.30+ this week? i should expect it to go up monday. tho it's your call, of course. :)

hey singaporegal,

yep, i know it's a longterm downtrend, right now, if i do play this counter, it's for a short uptrend on a downtrend. risky and swift movement necessary. am currently waiting for fri's price/vol charts before i make a move, if any.

thanks for the warning. :) will wanna get out of market by 1st week feb, if not next week alr. risk/reward ratio not worth for me already.

Hi elfin,

If you look at the Acc/Dist graph and draw a trendline joining the peaks in late November, you'll find that it may actually be downtrending.

Look at the bar chart, from late november, the stock has been fluctuating up and down but the peaks are getting lower and lower.

Its not a good sign.

Yup, CSM closed up flat 0.37% to 8.13 in Nasdaq yesterday with low volume again .... Should trade within 1.25 - 1.27 on Moday in SGX.

My crazy opinion below:

I guess the sell-down in tech counter now (due to Intel, IBM, Apple's earnings) is an excuse for the Big Boys to take profit after recent Tech surge. Suspect the Big Boys know this will be a Tech Year with Vista and iPhone rolling out. So, they cash out now so the retail investors to follow suit too. When the price is lower, then they buy back again! ... HeeHee!

hold your horses people....

giantlow, true that there are large vols of buys--some of them in thousands of lots, but watch your vol trades closely. they are preceded by sell lots of almost equal no, or larger. the closing at 17:05:08 gives bid of 2579k and ask of only 674k.

big time play on this counter. chartered is expected to post single digit decrease after its rivals in the field released similar bad results. could be a kneejerk sell down yesterday.

the thing is that its leading TA indicators are reading up? singaporegal, mind helping me confirm? A bit puzzled 'cos lag is reading sell, lead is reading consistent up.

watch this baby closely on monday. the bid/ask vols. if sells consistently happen, don't go in. But if the buying occurs in large vols, hehe, it's play time.

giantlow, 'BUY' rating on what EPS ratio, and what target? it'd be useful to convert to the s'pore context as a rough gauge.

CSM down 1.6% to 7.97 in Nasdaq with low volume now .... Translate to about 1.23 in its SGX's value.

CSM will see LIGHT by Q3 .... Let's wait and see. I think someone is positioning for this, Giantlow.

Hi, Elf. Good to hear from you. Did I thank you enough for your advice on Allgreen?... Well thks again.

As for CSM, I have been watching it for some time now. I'm not that good at reading TAs, still learning. Thats why looking out for you guy's guidance. OK, will wait abit more. Getting a little bit itchy, to go in for CSM.

Cheers.

hey ace6868, my allgreen fellowmate. hehe. where's awchyeong, the bunnie and ahbear and the rest? hehe.

back to biz: wait first. by my estimates, abt 1.23 is right. this dovetails with maxsyn and billywows' predictions. expect the T+4 players to move in only on monday. giantlow's right, quiet accumulation in large size lots (but sell too). A/D and chaikin consistent up, A/D slight down yesterday after straight up for 3 days on slightly lower vol. bollies are getting tighter. note chaikin esp sensitive to this counter.

Let it absorbs the bad news first, should be able to stable around 1.22 to 1.25.
