Hi Elf,

Mind to share which you think are those FA counters worth considering?

Hi Elf,

Thanks for your recommendation.  Last night, DOW drops 416 pts leh.  See how red it is today with the STI.  In my opinion, all these are overdone because of the 8.8% fall in the Shanghai bourse.  There's not really any bad news around the world at the moment.

yep i divested today liao.

winds of change blowing through the entire market. might be wise to get out of all TA trades. keep only solid FA counters. A correction's here....

l_tan, your cost price is low, but i dunno... might be wise to take profit first? live another day, fight another day. You can always use profits from AG to buy other counters to make up for the loss in the rest. Besides, if you're depending on prop stocks, then haha, Ho Bee's more solid on fundamentals.

give your broker a range to sell in...it's really easier. or mebbe it's just me, i don't like to queue...citigroup's call is 2.09, i still hold by my initial FA call tho. am now wondering if they missed out the dilution.... esp since, for the first time: insti sellers more than buyers. mostly retail buy ups and insti sell downs, esp late afternoon.

bunbun,

Yep, I did queue at only $1.76 when it dropped to $1.74.

Although I may be making a 5-figure gain, but don't forget, I also have 5-figure loss on some other stocks leh.  So, I have to strike as much a balance as possible.

Well, let's see what tomorrow holds.

if it's my holding, with px of $1.106, i will sell partial. frankly, i'm surprised that you tried only to sell at $1.76 (one px) and all 160-lots. i would have staggered like what elf has mentioned earlier, between $1.74 - $1.77. even selling all at $1.65, u still have a very good 5-figure gain leh.

u must have q to sell at $1.76 instead of immediate is it? ususally, i would sell at the buy px instead of the last trading px. u know what i mean? u earn alittle, others (buyers) earn alittle. win-win situation.

u have set the base selling px. no need to rush, let see how tomorrow morning AG will perform.

hmmm..... still not sure whether to release all or partial.  What's your opinion?

Oh, I've got most of my AG stocks about 8 years ago, since its IPO (but very little from the IPO lah).  But 33% of my present holding (of 160.5 lots) is from their rights issue (to distribute their tax credit to shareholders) in Jan 07.  My average price now is about $1.106.  But don't forget, I still need this gain to cover the losses from my other hopeless stocks leh.

bunbun,

With STI dropping dropping 76 pts and AG loosing only 2 cents, I'd say it's very good support.  Wing Tai is the better stock:  up 3 cents.

Anyway, good for Elf is she has unloaded her AG stock.  As said, I tried to sell at $1.76, but was too late and missed the boat.  As for tomorrow, will have to wait and see what's the DOW will perform tonight.  The DOW futures are bleak now at -60 pts.  My prediction for AG tomorrow will be +1 to -3 cents.  I'm putting my stop loss at $1.65.  Don't be too greedy and then loose more later lah.

officially, down 2cts. looking at today's morning high at $1.77, and since results ain't that great, may not be soaring upwards.

l_tan888, what's your views for AG tomorrow? i think elfie has gotten rid of them.

STI down 88 pts, FTSE down 55 pts, CAC 40 down 61 pts, DAX down 59pts.

City Dev down 50 cents, Capitaland down 30 cents.  Surprisingly, Allgreen down 1 cent and Wing Tai unchanged.

I'm still hanging on to it.  Sigh!!  Qued at $1.76, but too late and no luck.  Never mind, wait for dividends lah.
