dooms day for weak or mid term holders..for longist like you is a different story. For Aims even those the RSS happens on   4th Oct, the announcement made for RSS was in Aug 2011 where px is above 1dollar.

Sorry, dont mean to be rude or offend anyone.
I guess I am thinking from my own position, I dont leverage when I buy so I have no worries of cash call. Understand it may be different for other people out there.
You can take a look at Aims Amp REIT, post consolidation on 4 October 2011 it dropped a little (max 5%) but from then on the share price didint look back. I guess the difference between Aims Amp and other counters which consolidated is its fundamentals vis a vis the others.

did you include in those plants completing in 2014 and factor increases with the recent increase announcement (factor another 10-15% if you did not)?

Still a drop (from about 98 cents to 94 cents) but definitely not the doomsday scenario that everybody makes it out to be.
In fact a minor drop like that presents an excellent opportunity to add on to one's portfolio

You can't exactly call our fears irrational. I have never seen a stock immediately post consolidation hold its own. Perhaps you can enlighten us with an example. Of course, I am in a different situation from many of you as I hold many Hankore shares on cash margin, like the directors of the three si lang counters. So naturally I had not much choice but to release quite a bit over the last two days. The number of scripts I am personally holding in CDP is xxx lots while those on margin, xxxx lots.
Well, will wait for the SGM and see what David has to say about his proposal. Hope he gives us a good reason. Like I said, funds can invest in penny stocks. They are not barred from buying them. If Hankore followed the valuations of typical water treatment companies like SIIC, it will be trading at around 10cts. And judging from how stock prices tend to reflect the company's potential and growth, Hankore should be trading at 15-20cts. Still a micro-penny?

How did you project your FY 2015 numbers? Revenue from WT treatment are relatively easy to calculate and shouldent differ that much
Happy to exchange and discuss our analysis.

its not too bad but still a drop..and for quite a while (5 to 6 mths) before it could resume uptrend from where it was. Px was at its base in Dec.

Irrational fear for those short term or mid term holders but for those on the long, as long as there is high growth , the px will shoot, there is nothing to fear, but then if the px tanks for a while and then resumes uptrend, there is this opportunity cost to consider.
Need to understand that there are those here who are vested short term till medium..they may have commitments here and there (ie getting married in 2 mths , kids going to unis in 4 mths), so if a company propose RSS, can understand why they cry mother cry father.
btw, your projected FY 2015 revenue from WT is quite low compared to mine.   :). Good to know you   do your own homework.

They actually didint do that badly...
The completion of their consolidation exercise was 4 October, looking at Yahoo finance their share price (at its lowest in December) fell by about 5%?
From then on the share price dosent look back.
Again I'm not saying reverse stock splits will confirm results in a share price pop. I'm just saying that it dosent affect fundamentals - Why Aims AMP properly rose so much was that investors were chasing yield in a zero interest rate world caused by the Fed. If the fundamentals are good, reverse split or not it will rise. If the company is shit, you can reverse split 100 - 1, share price will still be shit

Ya leeta, agree with you. A lot of uncertainty now, and because of that really no one can predict how the stock will react in the near term.
Anyway, the reason I posted my previous post was that I saw a lot of worries and (irrational?) fear among forum-mers - seems like everyone thinks its a sure thing a stock will fall post consolidation - and I just wanted to put things into perspective.
Again from the back of my hand, recurring revenue from recurring waste water treatment alone in FY 2015 is at least RMB 380 million (S$ 80 million).   If it dips post consolidation, I will definitely buy more

Take a look at the px of AIMS AMP between Aug and Dec 2011..and then from Jan 2012 to say Mar 2012. You will understand why RSS is not a sweet thing. It may or may not happen to HK , I dunno .. Fromy between Aug 2011 till Mar 2012 is wasted opportunity for those vested in AIMS. From April 2012 onwards, it is another story. I hope HK is different ..but I hv my own strategies.

reknab,   believe all of us here except nek believe HK is a   fantastic turn around story..problem is RSS creates uncertainty and no one likes uncertainty no matter how good the FA is. Overtime, HK will cheong over $1 post consolidation, that I believe.
problem is RSS creates   uncertainty of the share price post consolidation..we dont really know how it will move..and how long a period the px will consolidate and where the new base will be. It might rocket on day one to neverland or it might go-stan 30-40% for 6 months to 1 yr as it did with 80-90% of the companies...or it may try to form base at px where it was consolidated. We dont know and for that many of us here have to be nimble and be careful...If post consolidation the px shoots and shoots..good, go long (but monitor). If it reverses then be daring to sell until px finds a base.
secondly..those of us who wants a multibagging stock has to be contented with a few bags now..Its ok to buy at 30cts (pre RSS)..and can buy until 1 dollar (pre RSS) or more like Blumont (kekeke) but buying at 3dollars (post RSS) to 10dollars, anyone? Yes, they can do a stock split..that is a big IF.
Yes, there are pros also for RSS..ie less float, can be rated, no more marco penny, big funds coming in etc   ..but for now..issue is uncertainty...that is why one has to be nimble no matter how good the FA is during such a exercise.

With the gloomy outlook everyone has on Hankore's reverse stock split, I would like to give another perspective by highlighting the 5-1 reverse stock split undertaken by AIMS AMP REIT in 2011. Its not all doom and gloom!
At the end of the day, its the company's fundamentals that will drive the share price. Some people have posted here that they are afraid that post consolidation, Hankore will drop to 30 cents. If you think about it, this will mean that its market capitalization will fall to c. S$140 million. (from the back of my hand, that valuation will be c. 5x FY 2014 P/E). Is it possible? Definitely (Anything is possible). Is it likely? You make your own decision - take a look at the multiples its peers are trading at and ask yourself if such a steep discount is warranted for Hankore.
Happy for anybody else to reply and discuss, cheers!
hopefully CKs help push the price to 10cts + then   do the RSS.. all sell ..all happy then come back again. lol.
