Some stocks have presented new opportunities after today fall!
... fallen star....ancients believe it's bad luck...
(sigh!) looking at the no.of falls outnumbering rises at 5 to 1, I think so too. Hope this ride out soon.
By the way did anyone read in yesterday's (9 Jan) papers about people in different parts of the island seeing a large and fiery green streak or green flash in the sky for a few second at about 7.40 pm.?
One observer said it looked as if something had 'burst through the atmosphere". But experts say it is just an uncommon "green flash".
Chipchip66, thanks a lot! I understand it now.
Sunny day/s always follow dark gloomy day/s.
There's always a silver lining in a rain cloud.
A big fall today will usually result in a moderate rise tommorow. So don't be hasty and try to understand the trend.

US says N Korea likely to test again
SEOUL (Reuters) - The United States is deploying a squadron of stealth fighters to South Korea, a U.S. military spokesman said on Wednesday, amid speculation that North Korea may be ready to test a second nuclear device.
The United States is sending about 15 to 20 of its F-117A Nighthawk fighters to South Korea, the spokesman for U.S. Forces Korea said.
"This is a routine deployment," said Kim Yong-kyu. "It is a regular operational matter.
The U.S. military has sent the radar-evading fighters regularly to South Korea for stays of a few months over the past few years. North Korea has criticized previous deployments as preparations for invasion and nuclear war.

Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, where the squadron is stationed, said in a Web posting that the fighters left earlier this week for South Korea.
About 250 to 300 airmen were sent to South Korea for previous deployments.
"This precision-strike aircraft penetrates high-threat airspace and uses laser-guided weapons against critical targets," the U.S. Air Force said in a Web posting.
North Korea conducted its first test of a nuclear device on October 9.
The U.S. television network ABC cited U.S. officials last week as saying North Korea was preparing for another test. However, both U.S. and South Korean officials have publicly said that there was no evidence a test was imminent.

Hi Ebay, normally when earning results are announced, the share price would have been factored in already. So, most of the times, prices will drop temporarily due to profit taking.
will this correction be major? i am wondering if STI will drop to below 2800 in jan...
Shplayer, I do not understand why the institutions may be selling ahead of the reporting season? esp when "Most blue chips and other stock are expected to report favourable results for FY2006." I do not understand the working of this. My simplistic understand is that stocks will go up when they report +ve results.
Can you please enlighten me? Thanks alot!
Answers from all other forumers welcomed too.
Bleeding.... everyone is bleeding !!!
STI 1st support would be around 2960 (13MA)
The market must always pullback a bit before it can move to the next higher ground... today many are small volume selling with no aggressive buyers yet.
