Elections effect

6 May is a Saturday... will the following Monday be a public holiday?

 

Heard over Radio. PA-people's chief is d election chief, hope more People's assist too, to collect more $$$ from SGX. By d way 01May06 remember to collect ur AngPow.

 

Till election okkk...STI still has 10% upside till year-end. after election don't know hoh... Analysts even predicted STI to go up to STI-2840 mark, very scary leh... Don't know bigger boys will eat not so big boys, then not so big boys will eat small boy or not leh??? STI hv not even hit 2600 yet. when opitmistic, everybody does...

 

Just been announced. General elections on May 6.

 

rumour has it that the elections are in April. are anyone of you are civil servants handling elections duty?

 

I think the newspapers wrote that there are only about 80,000 retail players right now.

 

my friend from broking firm says this time even though mkt up there's no rush to open new trading a/c. in fact fewer retail players in stk mkt these days then previous years. so, not much +ve election effect. no need to boost stocks for so few ppl mah. :)

 

How do you think the elections will affect the stock market?? I suspect elections should be round the corner.
