It could be hedge fund or some strategic partners taking a stake in the company. They're not ready to make the announcement just yet.However, there's been a couple of queries by SGX on the financial statements but Swiber has made the necessary clarification. Could this halt be related to the latest query? A restatement perhaps to follow through? I'd put my money on the first.

Agree with you, I also think it should be bad news. if it's good news,it is released earlier already. why take a few days to release news? something funny.no confidence to it. luckly not hold so many for it! for those one who hold too many.be careful!

I've a bad feeling about this...I hope I'm wrong about it.
Uually they can't wait to announce good news. *sigh* this is also an aspect of corporate governance that SGX should be looking into. |

exactly the same as my view....look at px of PEC & swissco now,.. they came up from 20-30 cts below swiber................this burger cannot be sleeping lah.

It depend on how much it will dilute from the last trading day price...so prepare to kena whack for a couple of days before it stable and then will climb back again...provided that mkt sentimen is good...
also nothing bad news, ..veri common these days...relatively the same pattern as ST eng & Capita land.

Convertible bonds issue.....SGX announcement out already......Seems like they are raising cash again.....
