gaecia, thanks for your case study sharing..... ya BBs can play the market any way and any time that they like and it is difficult and impossible to guess their next moves. perhaps sometimes we tend to over-complicate things. i'm still learning and trying out.....

what i'm trying now is  just only focus on my charts and follow my trading rules and plan and try not to 2nd guess BBs next moves.... let's see if i can survive

About bbs' behavior blah x 3, sometimes it isn't always that consistent within a trend & predictable. Making presumptions of bb's next move can cause one to make  a wrong move. Just for reference perhaps ec and roti would like to pull out charts for recent candlestick analysis  of Straits Asia and Capitaland. It  shows many bi-colored candles almost  alternate days. It is getting tougher for me to interpret charts of late.

Just a mini case study, Capitaland had a false breakout last Fri 8 Jul (ending price 3.07), Mon i shorted it at 3.03 in late trade hours when it was forming a bearish harami. Not all that juicy but still a high probability entry. On Tues Capitaland took a deep dive (lowest 2.85, closed 2.88) together with the entire market (max. plunge of STI approx. 58 points). I covered shorts on Tues 2.89 when all could see that bbs are evidently  dumping this stock from their brokerage sceen. It is easy to be conditioned to think that another deep dive day is certain. The following day (Wed) Capitaland made a comeback with a fairly long white candle (opened 2.89 hit intraday high of 2.99, ended 2.95) to retrace most of Tues's losses. BBs can dump and buy back at any timeframe.  No one finds it impressive in this thread nor saw it coming. I thought the clawback was overdone & re-shorted a small position at 2.97 on Wed (as a tutorial) to try out alternating candle color within the trend, went into range bound the next 2 days & i covered it for merely 4 cents. As it turned out, the bbs didn't make this game as simplistic as most would have thought.
