It appears that Ji was himself surprised of the 'early retirement' announcment. He was the one briefing the press only on Monday on 1H result. I attended the AGM in April, he didn't sound a bit like nearing retirement. He spelled out long term plans etc...from a 1st person perspective who is leading the company.
Market panic cos he has been instrumental in the growth phase of COSCO in the past 7-8 years he was at the helm.

Don't panic. Just a overeaction only. I think there is a power struggle inside. Business should be as usual. Its book order is not affected.
In fact it is opportunity time. Start to accumulate slowly in parts. Look long term. China will come up. They are like Spore 70s-80s now. So in 20 yrs time, maybe this is a super blue chip, once China reached developed further.
their price moves together... need not to buy the same items in your basket.. my opinions.
