I think gambler got 2 type.
1) to win money
2) just for entertainment
I believe a lot of VIP are super rich ppl. more than 50% casino profit are come from those VIP. Gambling are kind of entertainment for them. A lot of sport superstar will take plane to casino after match just to lose $$$. If win $$$, is bonus for them. If they lose, they get entertainment, so chiobu is important for those VIP player. Remember gambling is ENTERTAINMENT, a very expensive ENTERTAINMENT. Some ppl think gambling is a way to earn money, this is wrong mentality, but no doubt there are few ppl who have the luck in gambling.

I totally agree with you! Please curb the desire to play in casino. If you really play, only bring in fixed amount of cash. I think there is a system in the casino to help you control your spending inside.
Never ever try to earn in casino cause "out of 10 bets, you are definitely loosing 9 of them". Just use your money and pumped into Genting SP (LOL!!!) and wait for 2 years, Garanteed 2x returned!

go there to immerse in the atmosphere... but do not bring credit card, ATM cards ..just bring fixed amount, say, $500-$1000.. if win, it is bonus, if lose take it as entertainment outing ..and return to SGX to earn back..hehe |

when it is below $1.15.. alot of people are playing for coffee money even if they can afford to pick up cos' there are simply too many shares and interested parties.. increase by one bid can break even..
When the time is ripe Genting will fly so fast that you will be saying "zao zhi dao bu mai" :) However it might go the other way too.
haahaa dont worry when it will happen it will happen.
Today Sellers and Buyers are quite Even.
some BB tired to Short it down but fortunately the support is evenly strong. Also I notice today there's a massive roadblock today @ 1.10 and it goes all the way up to 1.40x.
The 21,000 lots i think is the major blockade that resulted retail sellers panic and exit it @ 1.08 today. There are one or 2 BB trying to exit @ 1.09 placing fake volumes @ 1.08 today and withdraw the volume during matching @ closing.
Sigh. I believe for short term Genting will be under selling pressure alittle even with all the news it will hover around 1.07 - 1.10 for a while before some BB finally pump it up :)
Good luck. My advice is Do not try to short this baby now as not much meat left @ the current price.
Happy New Year Hor
TP: $1.60 - $2.0 will be extended to June.
Remember this is my guess only. BOSAYOR.

Those who wanna go Casino during CNY, see below:
From a design/experience perspective, casinos are fascinating places:
1) There are no windows. Gamblers have no idea whether it’s light or dark or sunny or rainy outside.
2) There are no clocks. Dealers are forbidden from wearing watches. Time becomes meaningless.
3) There’s intentionally poor navigation. They are built like mazes meaning it’s usually tough to find a way out.
4) There’s a constant barrage of noises. Slot machines spin, games ding and dong, coins hit metal, there’s the pitter patter of the people running the games, etc. Many of these sounds, like the ringing of the slots, is there to give you a false sense of hope (“If all of those bells are ringing, somebody must be winning!”).
5) Loose slot machines — ones that pay out more often — are placed near highly trafficked areas (e.g. the aisles, change booth, restaurants, etc.) so more people witness winners.
6) There’s constant research on all aspects of the sensory experience: scents, colors, interior design, and the angles of lights (e.g. light that hits people’s foreheads is a no-no because it apparently drains gamblers of energy).
7) The attire (or lack thereof) of everyone who works there contributes to the atmosphere (e.g. dealers in uniforms, pit bosses in suits, servers in skimpy outfits, etc.)
8) Free booze is delivered to gamblers without them having to get up.
9) It’s not a passive experience. Gamblers are made to feel like they influence the process. And when a gambler feels they can affect the outcome — by throwing the die, choosing a roulette number, or deciding when to split at blackjack — a feeling of control develops that keeps them gambling longer.
10) There’s a constant rhythm. Everything happens at regular intervals. Dice are rolled. Cards are dealt. Wheels are spun. Bets are placed. And then it happens again. (Interesting note: Casinos have slowly phased out deck shuffling by installing automatic shufflers. Gamblers used to get a break while dealers reshuffled. Now it’s a constant flow of cards which increases the number of hands per hour — and that means more money for the house.)
11) There are players cards which get frequent gamblers free nights, food, and room upgrades.
12) There’s a palpable energy in the room. Money’s on the line. It’s a big night out. People are paying attention. Everyone’s engaged.
13) Some say casinos are pumped full of oxygen so gamblers feel more awake and energetic. (Others say this is just a myth that, if true, would result in a tremendous fire hazard.)
14) The funnel pours one way. There are thousands of places to hand over money to the casino. Every craps table, blackjack table, roulette wheel, and slot machine will take your cash. Yet there’s only one place to get paid out in bills: the cashier window. And to get there, you’ve got to pass all those other places that want to take your money.
The result: a completely immersive and compelling customer experience. It’s no wonder some people don’t know when to stop.
GOOD LUCK!!!

I guess GS perform true to form. When you expect it, it won't happen. Just yet. If you are willing to wait for it. Whether up or down. The price definitely was very controlled these past two weeks. I wonder who bought them up or was the share nos. being churned by someone to create huge buy or sell impression to interest buyers and sellers. I think both camps are waiting for something to happen. They will have to move either way to excite the market. If the nos. are real, then the weak holders would have been weeded out by now for CNY. Just a thought, there are so many shares in the market now, they just might call for a consolidation after all the fund raising is over.

All man also know how to do this. This is too simple. Only the most tricky man can get her. If you think the Genting stock will go up, just because of getting license, open the door for business, this is too simple. Those tricky/clever investor get it before you. Said liao, must learn to survive. This world is very cruel and tricky when it involve $$$.

maybe on 2nd day after checking out the news on the crowds..
Haha, make sure a lot of gambler inside before u pay that $100, unless you wan go in just to take a look.
In casino, once u step in, no sound one and so quiet one, u better don gamble.
Gambler energy (CHI) must be more than the dealer.
If you hear one table damn noisy one, there are only 2 posibilities:-
1) fighting
2) gambler is on winning streak. Go there and tumpang the good luck lo.

This stock indeed is a speculative stock at this moment, this is fact.
I think 100 out of 100 ppl think Genting value is not $1 in future, this also fact if Genting run it business properly, in fact this is what they are doing now.
If you want keep it for 3,4,5,6..10 years, sure no problem one.
The problem is, you need to understand your character and investment strategy.
Can you take it, when all other stock rose up 50%, while genting only rose 10%?
Can you take it if genting drop to 60cent next month and only rose up to $1.5 let say next year.
If you can afford it, then keep it lo.
If you think you have more smart way to park your $$$, you might have other plan.
Only you know yourself better than other.

For those who treat this counter as speculative stock may miss looking into the prospect of casino business, if you know how much reserve funds the genting malaysia has, you should know why genting sp will be a cash cow in long term. Anywhere, I will keep with genting, if not genting sp, as least the strong genting bhd. $1 share will never be $1 anymore and the time will tell.
