Awwww thanks. free this few weeks. Soon will be away again like last time.

just wanna share my thoughts. i think too many ppl focus on DOW which only consist of 30 coy.

the main one should be S&P 500 for real US conditions and Nasdaq as it is the main driver for recent rally of 2007.

DOW  should be secondary index to see for now except maybe DOW transport, which is affected alot by rising oil cost as oil is the index main cost of operations.

ewwww!!!! gross! live squids! >~<

agree that fresh sashimi is good tho. hehe. tunas! i want! keke.

tonersweat, can consider babcock and brown if it drops to its NAV (ie, 86c). cos its dividend yield is guaranteed, so at 86c if you can get it, the yield is approx 10% pa (paid in batches tho). Limited downside risk, since for reits, it traditionally has a support at its NAV level. To hedge against it going below NAV, can opt to enter in parts. If stock chiongs, you can always sell it off (capital gain) and buy back again. Macq is the other one. but at price to divvie ratio, babcock is looking better.

Fairygal,

No problem.......we go out in Malaysian registered boat. As for sashimi, we sometimes DIY, bring wasabe and Jap soy on board.....yummy. Note of caution when sashimi sotong........dont eat the tentacles too soon after preparation......the suckers will stick all over in your mouth.

hi hi ! Shplayer, you should have sold that Marlin to some sushi shop!

The market is really in the doldrums these days. Smiley

I am glad I got out in time (since 3 weeks ago). Smiley

I hope you all don't blame the market drop because I'm going for holiday in 3 weeks time!

Fairygal,

I assure you they will be non the worse after they have regained thir strength. Even the hook we use are bio degradable....so it should fall off after a few days.

Just out of curiosity, will the Marlin survive after a hard fight even being released?

Cashiertan, $Kam$Ko

Taking a longer term view, this is a good time to do some bottom fishing for good/sound FA stocks. Smiley

Tanglinboy,

Marlin was 50-60 kg. Cannot possibly eat all. Also, it put up a valiant fight....really fight to extreme exhaustion. So, better to let it go and fight another day. Actually, also caught a 2 ft long giant Trevally.....but too big for a meal and at that size, meat a little coarse......so we also released it. We catch game fish for the sport....plentiful fish so we can pick and choose the better eating ones. Anyway, we had plenty of table sized fish....some still in my freezer.....eat until sian. Smiley
