THE first casino in Singapore made S$40mil in the first two days of its opening and Malaysians contributed one-third of the revenue.
On the first day, the casino had attracted a long list of multimillionaires from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Most of them were regular customers of big casinos in the world who arrived in their private jets, Shinmin Daily reported.
These big-time gamblers, who had planned to fly to Macau and Las Vegas during the Lunar New Year period, had at the last minute changed their mind to try their luck at the new casino in the republic.
It is learnt most of them landed at Seletar Airport, where they were transported to Resorts World Sentosa in limousines.
Malaysians and Singaporeans visitors have also rushed to the casino on its opening day.
It was observed that gamblers travelling in at least 20 sports cars including Ferrari and Lamborghini arrived at the casino in the evening and left only the next day.

should ask why people are willing to provide the funds to this company to build an empire in their homeland and making money from there..... not any tom dick harry company can have such priviledge ?
my personal answer is the confidence by retail, institutions and Singapore Govt in Genting's ability to make the venture works ...
forgot to mention that the jackpot machines in Genting can switch dual languages (English and Chinese) -- Genting has set its targets in attracting the rich Chinese to gamble there...
Might building an IR that cost more than 6.5B and will be a possible top tourist draw in SE Asia be an answer?
Why do people choose to buy a company that has been making losses for three consecutive years and had to raise funds from rights issues three times over the past 5 years ???

Let me join in and say if 0.59, I will buy up as much as I can. But I guess Smartrader might be really smart in not joining the crowd when they are singing the same song.
bought 10 lots at 95.5 ..with all the negativity, looks like have to pick up...will q to contra at 1.02 tomorrow, haha.. wish me good luck...

bearish adx above 20...seem gathering strength..if keep fallin looking at nxt support 86 cts....
last high low gap was 0.60, do not know this time will it be the same: 1.3-0.6= 0.7

Lets assume this :) If i am a bond holder which i will get 100 million shares @ 0.95. I will go borrow shares from FI and Sell it around (1.2x range). Of course when I sell it down I already created a bad market sentiments :) Many will follow suite shorting it as they saw Big boys throwing it out.
You have to understand that Bond Holders are low risk takers - They will not hold Genting :)
So after this few days of sell down and have they clear out their 400 million shares ?
This is the question you should ask yourself :P
I personally feel that Genting will touch 0.93 tomorrow :) Will it rebound ? haha it really depends on their Quarter Report tomorrow :P
We might see 0.8x next week if things turn nasty. But 70 cents range it will never happen :)

Very common.Many ppl think that the selling is over done.
They go in to buy hoping that the share px. will improve
in order to make a profit. You must have a cut loss px.
Don't go against the market. I alway believe in market
