Coincidentally, 8 broking firms issued buy calls and 8 broking firms issued sell calls. 3 maintains neutral. So, we have to toss coin...

It doesn't matter whether you sell or buy...

You can toss a I-Ching coin if you like, or ask a monkey to throw a dart for you...

Just make sure your orders are made at major 'landmarks',

Then you effectively have the market 'under your noose'...

hehehe... Smiley

It is a Bullish (Doji) Star Pattern which signals a reversal with medium reliaility.

The casino makes its money on the gambling table. Our losses finds its way into their revenue. But the problem with running glitzy casinos are their large over-heads cost. Massive capital will flow out to pay for food expenses, taxes, the workers, the rent, the depreciation, running of the hotels, basic maintenance, massive debts etc. These causes casinos to lose money massively. A small time illegal gambling den in the HDB will be highly profitable. A legal casino operating in a resort will not necessarily be profitable.

Their losses is our gain.  Thats why singapore government issue licence to them.  hahaha!

Lets see if Genting or LVS could tap on the big whales (high-rolling players) who could afford 7 figure loss and  offer them the 'red carpet' treatment eg.  fly them in by private jet,  pick up by limousines and offering pent houses suit and fine dining etc.  may be a good way to leave the casino with good revenue.

LVS (marina bay) may be able to  hunt down these big whales by offering the above perks just like what they did in LV (States), to draw this crowd of whales here in singapore and we may be able to catch a glimpse of  long stretch limousines shuttling these people to and fro airport via marina ...perhaps. :)

Genting price is falling due to its ridiculous valuation. Its share price should drop by 50% to be fairly valued IMO.

Despite being the largest casino operator in the UK and have an online gaming site, it still post such rubbish results -

FY 2007

Revenue: $751.7 million
Net LOSS: $382.8 million

FY 2008

Revenue: $643.8 million
Net LOSS: $124.8 million

FY 2009

Revenue: $491.2 million
Net LOSS: $277.6 million

For the past 3 years, revenue has been decreasing and it is incurring massive losses.

So how do they survive ?

ANS: Rights issue to gain capital from current shareholders.

2005 - Offer 5 for 3 @ $0.13

2007 - Offer 3 for 5 @ $0.60

2009 - Offer 1 for 5 @ $0.80

2011 - ???

Why are people so confident of its ability to succeed in RWS ? It has flopped in its past and current casino operations !

Genting Singapore Plc’s newly-opened casino at Resorts World at Sentosa had 60,000 visitors in the first three days of business since opening Feb 14, Robin Goh, a spokesman for the integrated resort, said in an e-mail today.

UK and other European countries don't have rich people ???

Judging by its past historical mis-management, I doubt they will even break even anytime soon. Especially when  Sands open here, competition will start to heat up haha. This type of stock should be trading below NAV value of 38 cents.

UK is too far for rich Chinese in China, Hongkong, Taiwan and Malaysians.. Singapore is the Crown Jewel with other theme attractions...as a big landlord, it will have consistent revenues for this year.......

not likely to drop 50% ---there is intrinsic value after its full operations,..

There would be a lot of off loading or short covering  when Genting goes up to 96 cents or above , but to reverse the down trend would be impossible .

Bintang      ( Date: 19-Feb-2010 10:39) Posted:

Genting SP  has gone down all the way from $1.18 which had completed a technical rebounce to 90 cents today . If to have a technical rebounce again , it may only go up to 96 cents n touching the 200MA . The downside target is still at 87.5 cents .

Bintang      ( Date: 27-Jan-2010 21:58) Posted:

Only to buy Genting SP  when it goes down to fill the gap at 87.5 cents
