Cruise Centre joins association

SINGAPORE

The addition of the SCC boosts the association’s membership to 35, comprising 8 cruise line members and 27 associate members.

ACA said it will collaborate with SSC towards building a cruise-friendly environment and sharing operational expertise and best practices within the region. Said ACA chairman Rama Rebbapragada:

“Cruise tourism is growing rapidly in Asia. In tandem with this growth, cruise lines’ expectations for port operations and services have also grown to meet the discerning needs of cruise passengers.”— The Singapore Cruise Centre (SCC) has joined the Asia Cruise Association (ACA) as an associate member. The ACA is the largest cruise association in the region and seeks to promote industry growth.

Singapore Hot Stocks-Genting HK rises on Philippines talks

Reuters - Monday, September 6

SINGAPORE, Sept 6 - Shares of Singapore-listed casino operator Genting Hong Kong <GENH.SI> rose as much as 10.7 percent to an all-time high on Monday on a report that it is in talks with the Philippine government on a casino project.



Shares of Genting HK, which were trading at S$0.43 with a volume of nearly 175 million shares at 0145 GMT, have risen 53 percent since Aug 31.

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation is negotiating with Malaysia's Genting Group and three other parties for a casino project, Chairman Cristino Naguiat told reporters in Manila, according to news reports.

Singapore newspaper The Business Times also said on Friday that Genting HK's gaming turnover had exceeded expectations during the second quarter.

"Last Friday it went up a lot so the uptrend is still there. The newspaper article highlighted that Genting HK is doing quite well, and now the Philippines government is also in discussion to sell some of its casinos," said a local trader.

"The price is close to its all-time high. It looks overbought but sometimes it can last for a while if sentiments are good," he said, adding that how long it will last depends on further updates about the talks with the Manila government. Ha ha, sure they can affort. Says, 30k people visit RWS daily, one third of them r Sporean. Get the 500 passengers load A380, it just needs 18 fligth trips to complete the mission liao. Hope David also watching the forum. Cheers.

Have attended the siminar at CIMB security, this Director David Chua is a nice friendly guy who can joke & make merry, no wonder he rise to the director post.

He started the siiminar talking about NCL which has move up it's ticket price & the buy over of Union Bank.

Tks for fine advise,aready cut loss just now @ 0.445.Lets hope that it will go up.Intend to keep the remaining for future,I strongely believe that it will be like mother genting when phillipines and them got married.Bright days ahead bro.
