In my many years of stock-betting,  my cut-loss point is always only 2 clicks against my entry price...

Very tight stop-loss points, I must say... to me, holding a loss is taboo...

          Don't hit below the belt...

I think Sifu iPunter is speaking from his own experience..

to hold a few dollars and let it drop to only a penny shows lack of prudence in executing cut-loss..

Play stock cannot be emotional.. cut means cut.. take means take (" ,

It is nothing wrong or shame to lose.

But it is a big wrong , if you do not have a stop loss , and refuse to admit that u make a wrong trade which shd be cut when stop is hit.

And it is definitely a bigger wrong, if you repeat the same mistake many times over.

You look at the intra day trade, you know the guy behind want to hold the px, even in today lousy mkt, can only point to more good thing to come for this counter.

You see Asiason, you see the guy who hold up this counter is very strong. All shortist have been grill, right up to this day,   why i know?

I was one of them, never short this counter. I was burnt once, how many times you needed to learn? once is enough. l lost a few k.

Eg. if bought @.50, must sell when it touches .48...

Of course strive to get out at a slight rebound if possible (eg 1 click rebound).

It is the decision and execution to dump that counts, not an error of +/-1click

Vafirish      ( Date: 07-Mar-2013 15:48) Posted:

What is considered as 2 clicks?

This is also the reason why people can hold a stock that falls from many dollars to one dollar...

It is because every day, every week, they are waiting for it to go back up...

And all the while, of course the holder will be singing praises for the stock... lol... Smiley
