Result is not flying colour! Revenue up 41% from 1Q07, net profit down 12%. This drop is main due to tax writeback of $10.5 million in 1Q07. Nett Profit before tax for 1Q08 is $120.8 mil, 1Q07 is $117.9mil (up 2.5% only). Income Tax 1Q08 is $22.4 mil while 1Q07 is $5.8 mil. Of the $22.4 mil of Income Tax, $16 mil is for E&P...like that E&P where got profit??? Tomorrow SELL all!!!!

mmm...I think I need to add this...8.60 is just prediction. The share price might nose dive from here in short term. Good Luck!

Hi Louise, it all depends on how well you can stomach the risk in reward for the gain. ViperG has his point, dun chase after a stock. If you invest now just wanting to get the 8.60 reward, then not worth. However, if your invest now and look forward to 12.00 (my prediction only), on long term, any price below 8.60 is a buy. So down to your time horizon. Good luck!

ViperG      ( Date: 22-Apr-2008 14:37) Posted:

Louis...Dun chase a stock but rather wait for the good opportunity for entry. As mentioned by I168, it might go up to 8.6 but this is only 0.4-0.5 cts gain from current level. Is it worth the risk? You have missed the recent bull run, you should just sit back and watch the "show"....Personal pt of view.

My short term target: 8.60. Why? ExxonMobil, Chevron, Conocophillips & Hess Corp, who are the big bosses in the America are trading 1% lower than their 52 weeks high. SPC being a very smaller company compared to them, plus their upstream activity is much much bigger than SPC, but somehow they are in the same industry. If instead of 1% lower than the high, SPC trades 5% below the high @8.50, there is still a little more upside from here @8.13. Hence I held on to my short term view for the time being....SPC CHEONGGGGG ARHHHHHHH......
