Did it announce before or after SGX has fallen by approx 25% from $9.57 to 7.08 ?

 

got chance, Duetsche cut SGX TP fr 12-9, owing to weaker turnover admid a market turmoil.

no deal today, half day off, ha ha.

lesson learnt, check your order book daily after 1715hrs, esp you hv more than a broking house. And you like to play preclosed trading.

AK kena chiat lat on tow incidences of overlooking on the order made.

Everyone has their right to express their view on the mkt. This portal is to shae our view, bearish or bullish! I am bearish hence I shorted.

Many ppl had this hatred of shortist thinking shorties are the ppl who will drag the price lower and hence spoil their investment objective. I would like to stress this point, that long or short, investors & punters do the same thing, that is, buy low, sell high. Besides, we retail investors are small fishes swimming in the big ocean, nimbling at the crumps that the big fishes left behind. We are unlikely able to drag price down, or push price up!

Now about the mkt sentiment, the US had closed 2 more banks over the weekends, which dun bog down right for the local mkt and the region. Financial stocks will react to this piece of news and so is SGX. So 168 view SGX to stay above $7.00 is not likely. The more likely scenario is SGX to trade around 6.30-6.50. If SGX stays above $7.00, it means the BBs is playing the counter and supporting it from falling which often is likely temporary for heir own exit before they leave the innocent retail investors to hold the baby. If Monday SGX stays above $7.00, I am sure I will be the first to short it and wait for the tide to lower itself to 6.50. I do not think I will be moved by anyone having bullish view in this mkt environment....it's just my view I am sharing. Trade at your own risk!

 

HLJHLJ   mentioned some kind of bullishness.  I thought so too.   But I think this is not 'the real thing'.   Still bearish.

I did naked short only once, by mistake, that I thought my order was filled (ready to lost $120 for day short) in actual it got rejected at 4.56pm, hence left overnight. I did not really feel the heat that time as I was lucky that SGX dropped like a stone the next couple of days. I came out 4 days later with $1000 more profit...hehhe... lucky right! I never do that again.

Thus, we can not afford to be confident when we deal with the stock market...
Always be ready to exit...

 

Shortists, be careful. Medium term TA points to some bullishness which i'm scratching my head as well. How can it be so in this kind of environment? Never know. Things can turn. Short term, of course is profit taking now.

 

Hahaha... why not just key in your buy order and then go shopping first?

You can then do a market order before the end of the day...
