Last Thurs - CNA announced that seven unrelated investors (3 are investment-holding companies & four others are private investors) had bought a total of 60mil shares worth S$7.25m at S$0.1208 in a private placement. This represents a 22% dilution for existing shareholders based on the last-reported share count of 270.8m.
On last Monday. CNA requested trading halt to be lifted & resumed trading@S$0.19c, up 36%  on Monday’s closed. The shares did  climbed steadily to S$0.27c for a 97% gain.
Curiously, CNA, which is now worth (north) S$83m, has had four consecutive profitless quarters in recent times, clocking up cumulative loss of S$3.5m. Perhaps the seven investors in the private placement saw much better times ahead.
Isit or it's a mean? - should Retail investors follow blindly ??

The funny side of stk trading, punting and speculating...Stk Co  don make profit YoY or Qs to Qs, can made ton of monies.
What does that mean retail investors?
Always mean to each it doesn't own -  as players play against each other. Be it BBs vs BBs, or retail players vs retail players.
Please do oneself a flavour - Do homework n due diligence B4 placing any bet (Big or $mall). Deep rich player$ can always dump to collect, Retail mah?. I'm not so sure...Retail often found to be holding on hope for..., reason: due to a very, very thin margin in profit term. The risk is greater in losses.
It will take a lot to break gold’s downtrend, charts show
Just a thot: " A break below $1260 has a downside target near $1000."

Tom Kendall, the head of precious metals research at Credit Suisse, says he won't get into gold yet. Actually, he'd advise selling, with CNBC's Josh Lipton and the Futures Now Traders.
A trend change is signaled when short term group of averages compress and begin to turn upwards, with the trend change confirmed when the long term group of averages also compress. At this point, there is no sign of this behavior on the gold chart. Traders will watch for consolidation around the $1260 level prior to a trend continuation.
A break below $1260 has a downside target near $1000. This is calculated using the same methods that gave us the downside target near $1260 after the fall below $1540. The reality is that gold has been trapped in the sideways trading band since November 2011. The trading band includes strong rallies and strong retreats.
The break below $1540 was a critical change in the trend. The width of the trading band is $260. This value is used to calculate the potential downside at $1540. The same value is used again to set the new downside target near $1000. The $1000 level has acted as a support and resistance level between Feb, 2009  and Oct, 2009.
There is a high probability it will act as a support level again.
The fall below $1540 and below $1260 signals the resumption of strong trending behavior. Traders will short on the rallies.

http://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/g20-finance-ministers-aim-more-141445021--finance.html
Saturday - The G-20's finance ministers said their countries consider strengthening economic growth and creating jobs to be top priorities.
In the ministers noted that although there are signs of stronger economies in the US and Japan, the grp of 17 EU countries that use the euro continues to suffer from recession and that economic growth in emerging markets is comparatively slow.
The minister were " mindful of the risks and unintended -ve side effects of extended periods of QE," where speculation that the Federal Reserve may soon wind down its bond-buying program has roiled markets around the world — especially in developing economies.
In a separate statement, IMF head Christine Lagarde  mentioned " the spillover effects of monetary policies, the implications of recent market volatility, and the need for balanced and credible fiscal strategies." ''The global economy remains too weak and unemployment is too high in many countries," she said. " There has also been an increase in financial market volatility and tightening of financial conditions."

U may have noticed or even  speculative on,  lately  on penny stocks.
Penny stocks refer to smaller public companies that trades for less than a dollar per unit n are regulated by the  STX-ST and other authorities.
Penny stocks offering opportunities for  smaller investors, at greater  opportunity to earn significant up-side  on their investments. The benefits occur for two reasons.
1. It doesn’t take a  huge amount of  money to invest in penny stocks.
2. Penny stocks have huge potential for  significant returns. (but not w/o risk
)
B'cos price per share is low, n can experience huge price increases, sometimes even doubling or tripling in just one day. Price  surge or rocket, do not often occur with larger companies, but which  are much more common with penny stocks.
But, with thousands of different penny stocks to choose.
How should you go about finding the right ones to invest in???

TEPCO, which has faced frequent criticism for downplaying dangers and not being forthcoming, on radiation exposure among workers earlier this month.

Thyroid cancer risk for 2,000 Fukushima workers: TEPCO
Around 2,000 people who have worked at Japan's wrecked Fukushima nuclear plant face a heightened risk of thyroid cancer. Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) said 1,973 people, around 10% of those employed in emergency involved in the clean-up since the meltdowns were believed been exposed to radiation.  A 10-fold increase of possible thyroid cancer victims, after the utility was told its figures were too conservative. TEPCO reported to World Health Organization in December that only 178 workers...at the plant were believed to have received radiation doses to their thyroid glands above 100 millisieverts.
