Just wondering where to get the financial resources
to pay 0.08 cts. dividend.

i gues there is only one concern, which is will they get thru tis dividend. anybackup plan if it don't?

Aren't we a skeptical lot? :) Here is a wonderful deal placed before us and yet we're worried about there being no free lunch. The queue to sell off at $0.08 is quite staggering, seems like many are skeptical about this deal and are eager to lock in their profits. Nothing wrong with cashing in one's profits but in any case, market talk is that our remisier king has come out of seclusion and has taken an active hand in two holdings. 1. UPP, which he's probably taking independent and whose price has been on an upward trajectory. 2. Eagle. Apparently he's behind this move towards debt elimination and the one-off dividend payment of $0.08. Anyway, I'm vested at $0.075. Even if I hold the shares without selling off, the dividend payment will ensure I make a profit and whatever I hold is pure profit. I agree with some of the caution going around, e.g. in case the motion fails to pass at the SGM, but sometimes you just have to go with your gut instinct. All the best to all vested.
anyway, we will see how it goes next wk k? hope those pple who made sarcastic remarks will apologise if it goes thru. if it does not, then i lose my money loh... cos i vested in it at 0.07 liao. so we shall see ba... gd luck to all vested :)
Base on today closing 0.08.... ex-date=0.00 ???

Yes, confirmed, my broker called Eagle's CEO, he said despite making heavy losses of RMB 45M in FY2009 and RMB 67M in FY2008, they decided to declare a dividend of $0.80 per share, increase from previous annoucement, $0.08, buy ! buy! we must trust the China CEO, we know they are very honest ppl..never lie u know..

doesnt make sense, might as well use the money to buy back shares..why issue dividend then?
this is what they are getting shareholders to agree in the meeting next wed... pass or not i dont know but i do not see any reason why shareholders will vote it down. all announced in sgx website. anyway those who bought earlier already earning gd profit.

CHAIRMAN should be SECONDED to CPF BOARD so that CPF members will get this TYPE of INTERESTS in the CPF ACCOUNT as WELL as in CPF ANNUITY SCHEME.
CPF BOARD should UNstudy at EAGLE's BOARD ?
CHAIRMAN really takes gOOd carE of his sharEhOldErs ?
