Morgan Stanley recommends BUY with Target Price at $3
We raise our 2011–12e earnings by 13–16%, while our price target moves from S$2.40 to S$3.00 following strong 2010 results. Not only has the company continued to see improved revenue momentum on smartphone take-up, the announced special dividend of 3.5 cents takes the 2010 dividend yield to 7%, a level we believe can be sustained in the near future.
4Q10 results update. Net income beat our forecasts by 11% on strong revenue growth as smartphone penetration continues to rise in Singapore. Management guided for 2011 profits to surpass 2010 levels, capex of S$100mn and a proactive balance sheet management approach.
Where we differ: We remain believers in the wireless data opportunity in Asia and prefer developed markets over emerging markets given higher affordability levels for smartphones. We continue to advise Overweight positions in DM telcos vs EM telcos in 2011..

Earning likely to surprise,
everyone should buy instead of short.
it is increasing price with higher volume.
Real interest is getting steam., just like starhub that hit $3 from below $1 when it started its pay TV.
Look like history going to happen soon .
Just dont short till it reach $3

M1 (M1 SP, $2.25, BUY, TP $2.63) – M1’s initial Pay TV service is fairly modest but we believe this is just the tip of the iceberg, with a bigger
splash coming by 1H11 when content cross-carriage is implemented. We expect M1 to be a beneficiary of the immense potential of interactive
IPTV, particularly when the common featured set-top box is implemented. Maintain BUY.

M1 Limited
said it has increased its investment in M1 Net Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary, to S$5 million S$25,000. M1 will be allotted an additional 4.98 million ordinary shares in M1 Net for S$4.98 million. The new shares were allotted as a result of the conversion to equity of part of certain intercompany loans extended by M1 to M1 Net Ltd amounting to S$4.98 million.
M1 is now quad play with PAY TV with 1BOXe running on broadband (IPTV). Limited contents but should have more in the near future. It runs on ADSL, Cable or NBN from all operators , but you have to loan the device from M1 (using your friend's M1 broadband account). A bit limited in features.
It might have some impact on the pricing come Monday. take note.
