no need metastock as the charting s/w uses yahoo for free eod data. i am more interested in the mark crisp's 1-2-3 trading strategy which alone cost much more !

I am thinking of getting this one among the other this guy offered. it seem he has the same softwares from the affilate i buy from but much cheaper !

amibroker is good to get if you can do programming well. very customisable n flexible. i personally prefer it over metastock but

 metastock more suitable for non-programing ppl as the s/w come with lots of systems and plug-in

also currently there is lots of metastock plug-in, free to copy if u can find them at forums or certain websites.

 

 

I have my own metastock but I thought of learning Amibroker software which is quite powerful and convert those buy/sell signals to Amibroker platform.
Besides this Amibroker is able to download data from Internet for free.

I've been using data provider from http://www.technical-analysis.com/prodADS.html to download Singapore data.
This guy had been providing free data for longtime but he for past 2 years charged a small amount of money for EOD for 1 time fee only.

So far his service is good (I'm not affiliated).


 

 

buying metastock from other online distributor is good enough, usually cost much lesser than the retail price and comes with free gift. i rem i saw a website at 30% off and free 2 expert plugin which cost usd 299 each!

look for better offer online and

also the eod data , u can get from neuronet.com.sg if needed.

i got my 1st metastock from a online software retailer, problem will be u need to download the package and print the manual but the price and free gifts are wroth it!

go to www.neuronet.com.sg the singapore metastock/EOD distributor. Metastock at S$800 or less and EOD for singapore share is $250 per annum. Figures quoted is an approx.

Alternatively, you may download free chart from Chartnexus.com.sg. However, there is no expert advisor and other features offered by Metastock.

Treat share trading as a business. You need to invest in a reliable tool. Cheap tools yield low income. You need to treat this as business expences. The cut loss amount will be your insurance against big loss. Also treat this as business expenses.

so conclusion is one needs to have the metastock realtime or EOD - and that the swing indicator is part of the update , that provides the buy/ sell signal.

It cost USd499 to purchase the metastock directly from the vendor + another USD565 annually as subscription ? 

Is there any other system out there that is not so expensive ? - yet are able to provide the buy/ sell indicator as the swing indicator ?

This is a fact of life which we cannot change at all.
People will lose thousands...for that matter, maybe hunderds of thousands, or more... before they wake up to the simpler things of life.

This is why, when I come across something about the stock market which I fancy,  I will simply buy it.
Furthermore, if you check the market history of the top market gurus, they all have invariably 'bought every book and attended every course out there'...  In other words, their  expertise is the direct result of  their knowledge and experience, particularly the bad experiences in the market....

When it comes to value, nothing can beat this package => "10-Module Stock Market Manual ".

People spend a few $ on some learning material so supiciously but they rather lose thousand of dollars easily in the market.

eod data can get from the source tabby mentioned. also u can try the ebay, just make sure is original, if not original, might as well get pirated. lol

Click on Expert Adviser (man with top hat), then on the right hand side of the screen, there wil be a few small buttons starting with - Close ... New.... Edit...Copy.... Click on Orgenizer button.

It will bring you to "Formula Organizer Wizard".

Select "Import Formula File" and click "Next" and proceed.
